  3. It's weird, but I don't even associate the Japanese from the war, with the incredible allied we have in Japan, now. I see the new Japanese as a brilliant people trying to make the world a better place, very much in line with our world view. They maintain their own tradition, and history, but seem to be completely changed people from the blood thirsty aggressors in the war, and I'm happy to have them on our side, they were one hell of an enemy who's creativity and bravery was a rarified trait, then and now. Proof that a people can change their ways, becoming and an asset to humanity, instead of a threat to it!

  4. I wouldn't be alive if not for the brave men that fought the Japanese back to the Philippines and rescued my grandpa from a POW camp. It was a brutal fight as the Japanese fought to the death.
That's why it was necessary to nuke Japan! Otherwise imagine the bloody invasion of Japan and how many would have died as they all fought to the death.

  5. Back then and for a long time after our nation did and have a lot to be proud of. But today our government leaders are despicable and immoral reprobates. They are dismantling everything all those brave men fought for.

  6. I watched a series on the History Vault channel yesterday – Battle 360º – Anyone seen it? I want to know if that pride in our country and military still exists. WWII was bloody – Would we have that pride again to combat our enemies like they did? I hope so! I can't tell you how many times I've watched this series!! And I still cry!! God bless our military and their families. My brother was on the next USS Enterprise – Vietnam. and I have the ship year book! But listening to the WWII veterans – My gosh what a generation!!
