  1. I think the fact that his sentry mode time is capped is an unintended nerf. Sigma or other characters can completely nullify it with equal cool downs. Making his sentry useless which is the only thing that makes him special.

  2. I feel like u have to be a lot more careful with him because he can just be beamed down to nothing but he definitely has a much more fair feeling when u fight against him especially for lower ranks. His ult is definitely more more are denial. Now will he be better than solider, Mcree or Sojourn idk probably not but he is better than he was and maybe they will give him a damage resistance in turret form which could make him more viable but idk. His normal gun for seems a bit weak especially against the other hitscan. I’m excited to see how he is changed and adapts to the meta or how the meta adapts around him.

  3. It should work more like a glass canon like you get significant hp reduce.
You cant be running around with that dps and 300hp.
This gives too much mistake room for that amount of reward youre getting out of it.
Like wtf, but damn i will switch for bastion if movement stays on with dmg.

  4. I have played a ton of ow 2 bastion and i am convinced his ult is terrible. Ive never been killed by it, literally just walk in any direction and it deals barely any damage, and the only time ive seen it get kills are when they were already low health. Lack of healing and damage reduction while still being a massive target means he just gets absolutely shredded. I dont think he is very good at all.

  5. "this new bastion is totally OP" Nobody is shooting at you and you have a mercy pocket. Assuming those two things in ow1 he could already shred like that. Its no different lmao

  6. Don't get me wrong, Bastion in original overwatch always floated around between meme pick and extreme niche hero, and I fully understand that the "point and click adventure" style he had didn't have the broadest appeal… but isn't this is just soldier 76 if he put on an extra 150 pounds and stopped carrying self-healing? There just doesn't feel like there's anything that makes this character stand out anymore… Even the grenade is just helix rockets with extra steps. The artillery is cool, I'll give it that, but the rest of the character feels like so much of the same as we've already got in other heroes… He's just mediocre hitscan DPS 70% of the time and exceptional hitscan DPS 30% of the time. I can't see anyone in a high-level environment picking Bastion over Soldier once the novelty dies down… Especially with the sheer volume of characters that can just shut down sentry mode. D.Va Matrix, Doom block, Orisa spin, Hog hook, Ana sleep, Mei ice wall, Sigma rock… I could go on but you get the point. (You're also a huge target without much mobility, and 300 HP without the tank passive to reduce ult charge the enemy can farm off you)

I still think the idea of bastion works better as a tank… especially with Orisa being moved out of the "tank by planting your feet and locking down the area in front of you" tank role.

  7. So they made bastion stronger?
The mini gun was his problem, the concept of making a turret a playable character inna game like overwatch, or really any competitive team based shooter game is the problem. I dont see myself liking bastion or fighting bastion any more or less after these changes.
Not to mention they turned doomfist from a super high skill floor hero into a blubbering tank that can get value from yeeting himself at crowds. Overwatch is not going in the direction I personally would like.
Seems they're leaning heavily into the dumbed down ways to play these heros.
Why not completely rework dooms punch to do something else with his giant fist, I dont have to many ideas off the top of my head but get creative, just dont strip him off what made him fun to play for favor of the playstyle that made him annoying. what people hated about doom was when your team wasnt coordinated, a doomfist could just run free on your team with his shields and one shot, now he can just run free and cause mayhem all game. And his fist just doesnt do anything now which makes you feel like you're doing alot less. Doom is just fundamentally a bad hero for the game which saddens me to say as a doomfist main lol
And bastion is the poster child of a bad idea, bastion should have his mini gun as a primary, mounted on his arm but you nerf the dmg alot, then give him his tank form as an ability, and maybe give him like 3 shots each time he goes into it. That would make him fun but no now hes just bastion with a little more movement when gunning down entire teams…
It's just my opinion but to me as a long time overwatch fan, it's dead

  8. Bastion wasn't fun to play? As a Bastion main, I beg to differ! Is he less fun to play than the original betas where he had a shield while in turret mode? Sure, but that was OP, lol. Get an original to shield me, and a mercy to boost me, and it's hella fun to shred entire teams.
