Hello Sports Fans. Please join me in celebrating a great mail day. I finally acquired a long-awaited card for my personal collection. Joe DiMaggio is one of the all-time baseball greats and played on so many World Series champions with the Yankees. Take a look as I open the mail and share my new card. 1. I love the symmetry of the Joe auto and the original Play Ball. That SGC 5 on top is so smart and the monochrome display of the slab and the card just makes that super beautiful, Rob. Congratulations – what a great card!

  2. I am shocked you were able to get that DiMaggio signed through the mail. You were on the ball back then. Two guys really stick out in that 2nd photo. Jimmy Foxx looks like he is a beast and Greenberg is a giant of a man.

  5. Thoroughly enjoyed your photos and presentation. Congratulations on the β€˜39 Playball DiMaggio, very nice example. What has always impressed me about Joe DiMaggio other than the obvious baseball talents/56 game hitting streak and place in the game was his place in American pop culture. He was/is an American icon. I can only imagine what it was like to be a baseball fan when he was playing. Your first photo with Gehrig and other Yankee teammates reminded me that I got a chance to see him in person the night Cal Ripken passed Lou Gehrig for consecutive games played. Joe DiMaggio spoke at the post game ceremony and talked about being teammates with Lou Gehrig and memories of playing with him. It was thrilling and a moment I will never forget.
