I’m not associated with Baldur’s Gate III or Larian in any way. I’m just some rando who likes to play cool new cRPGs, and sometimes ends up making videos about them. Neat!

  1. Fun little meta thing. If you have a disarm effect, and you don't take Lae'zel to the githyanki patrol, so that you can attack them without her running in, you can open with disarming shot from stealth on Voss, and he drops his big ole fuck off legendary +3 silver sword then immediately leaves. It's a good time.

  2. on the sword vs sorrow thing
If you can use the bonus action pull of sorrow to yoink enemies off ledges and take fall damage, or get them off others, its okay. Its listed as a "cantrip" but it doesnt actually scale, its a fixed 1d4, and Im not sure if it applies any riders (or chasers as you called them). If you go for polearm master sentinel, sorrow gets outpaced by other polearms.

As for the greatsword, its normally just a bit of damage 2d6 is 7 on average, 1d10 is 5.5 on average. However, laezel starts with great weapon fighting, that rerolls 1s and 2s on damage if using 2handed weapons, so the 2d6 average becomes 8.33. Not to mention that unlike in tabletop, it rerolls more than just the weapon damage. The wiki list is incomplete, but it does specify it reroll smite and poison damage dice, so there is a good chance it also rerolls the 1d4 psychic damage.
As for the weaponised bonus action, you can select maneuvers that use your bonus action (I think feint does that?), or just use poison coatings.

  3. The scene with giths is so nice, but you know if you sneak upon them or using invis potion then cast drop weapon spell on Voss, you can get the unique sword for Lea'zel which you may or may not get much much later and it will start the combat regardless, so exp and gear as well 😉

  4. I hoped you visit the Mountain Pass, after you finished the tiefling quest, you can do that and return anywhere any time, all waypoints are active, besides it is good exp area with nice encounters and Lea'zel quest 😉

  5. And you should also call and kill Lump and the ogres to get their loot, just saying, you won't need them, because the area is clear and you cannot call them outside act 1 or in underdark or inside buildings.

  6. 7:44 Fortunately forced events like this are not very common. Party members leaving the group without your say so are even less, off the top of my head it only happens one other time and that's fairly far into Act 3.
