Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife | Room Tour With The Worst View

This video is funny I barely got in the door of the hotel and people said they saw my videos. Sorry my videos aren’t really upbeat. The hotel is pretty much in line with all other all inclusive hotels, when you don’t have a good room. This is probably going to be the end of going Bahia Principe – but am definitely taking a break.

I don’t know where to begin. I hated all inclusive holidays, with a passion. The same food pizza, pasta, chips and burgers. The entertainers pestering you, to join in their dances and exercises. The last all inclusive holiday I went to was in St Lucia. Since then I have avoided all inclusive holidays and went to New York and Los Angeles and ate at places I love.

My mum booked us to go to Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife last March. I got put in a really bad room facing onto the kids area. I hated it and felt I couldn’t, sit on the balcony. The food was better than other all inclusive holidays I have been to. It’s crazy the Spanish breakfast, is like dinner. They have churros, for breakfast. The hotel has good photo spots aswell, the steps, the castle and the infinity pool.

I went back to Bahia Principe Fantasia for my birthday and got one of the best view rooms, facing the castle. It made the holiday, a whole different experience. People make out all inclusive is all about the food and drink, but to me a holiday is getting out and about and doing things – to get a good view made me enjoy the hotel.

I went back to Bahia Principe Fantasia, in September and got another good view room and loved it.

I feel like I have always just shown the positive side of the hotel, as a lot of people stop me in the hotel saying they booked after seeing my videos and thanking me for the videos. In December it went downhill. We got put in a room we didn’t like. I went to reception and had to deal with the rude reception woman telling me the room I have is good ( I’ve seen on trip advisor others talking of the rude receptionist and the hotel saying it’s a misunderstanding – it’s not , I’ve had to deal with her a few times when my birthday message came up wrong and she was rude ). The next day I was told the room I wanted was available and put in a room where the tree blocked the castle. I personally think it was that rude woman done that deliberately to annoy me. I went back to reception and the following day we were moved to a room where the sliding doors were broken. I emailed reception many times. The emails get ignored or you get told “sorry for your experience”. They aren’t very good at acknowledging. It’s like a template email or copy and paste email they use. To think you pay £200 more for the master room and the doors were broken.

I was contacted by a British newspaper to do an article on Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife. I could have easily wrote about the rude woman on reception and being put in a room with broken doors. However I know not all the staff are like that and it could be lack of English on replying, so I just had to accept I wasn’t getting a reply on why we got put on a room with broken doors.

We went back again and put in another bad room and it just wasn’t the same. I felt like the holiday dragged in. I had a lot of people stop me, saying they saw my videos and booked after seeing my videos. I said aww thank you. I had people ask if the hotel pays me and asks me to go – I said haha no I pay with my own my money – the hotel puts us in the worst rooms.

What gets me the most is the hotel has a lot of bad reviews on people saying, the food is cold, there’s food poisoning, the food is bland, there’s a hotel illness spread etc. I don’t believe any of it and I’ve been 5 times. However when I went in December there was someone there the same time as me posted on social media about cold, bland food and the way the hotel ran the taxi calling – saying they wouldn’t come back, while posting an amazing how room. Yet they treat returning customers to bad rooms and I got put in 3 bad rooms.

The hotel really needs to fix things, now I’ve had 2 bad experience holidays – I said I wouldn’t go back last time. This time I really need to stick to not going back to the hotel, unless things change.

They are giving good rooms to people who say they aren’t returning, while giving bad rooms to returning guests.

Unless the hotel changed to prioritise returning guests to the good rooms – I won’t return. I said no to wearing the loyalty band, as the hotel isn’t loyal to returning customers.

* There was no point saying how much I hated it as December, they moved us to 3 different rooms, 1 facing a tree and 1 had broken doors.

Bahia Principe Fantasia Dominican Republic has a choice of views where you can pay extra for, id happily pay extra. Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife only has a choice of paying for sea view.

On the funny said our flight was with, Ryanair. I take the same suitcase and same amount of clothes, but the woman was being an idiot telling me I had to pay – I didn’t pay.

  1. Can still see my room from your balcony when we were both there at same day in December 😂
One thing I am noticing, it seems to be windy all the time there, has me wondering when it might have a more peaceful time in the year from that as I seem to remember it being peaceful at Bahia Costa Adeje when I was there many moons ago.
