Bahia Principe Fantasia Dominican Republic | Birthday Celebration Day 2

Sometimes it takes something to happen, to do something you never imagined you’d ever do. I always said I couldn’t imagine going to an all inclusive hotel, on my own. I like to go out and see places. All inclusive hotels, made me think sunbeds, food and drinking.

Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife changed the way I saw all inclusive. It was the first time I enjoyed an all inclusive hotel. There is soo many places to take photos, the castle show to watch and sitting on the balcony at nights. The last few times I’ve had views I didn’t like, facing outwards – it was too quiet to enjoy the balcony at night. I’ve also had a few rooms facing directly onto the kids area which I don’t like. The hotel puts soo much effort for adults only, like adults only infinity pool and adults only area in the restaurant, but they put adults facing a kids area. I’ll never understand the adults only area in the restaurant, as you’re still in the same room. I really didn’t enjoy the last few visits at Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife and made me think, you know what am going to book the opposite hotel and go to Dominican Republic.

I traveled solo to Dominican Republic, staying at Bahia Principe Fantasia. I got an amazing room facing the castle and felt like the times I enjoyed the Tenerife hotel.

I noticed a lot of differences between the Tenerife and Dominican hotel, to think they are both called Bahia Principe Fantasia. 1 big difference I noticed is the Dominican people are more friendly and will go out their way more. For example in Tenerife when there’s no cups at the self serve machines and you tell a staff member, they tell you to queue at the castle bar and there’s a long queue. In Dominican I asked for a banana mama slush and he said it’s not slush but no problem and then the staff person brought out a blender and put ice and the banana mama in the blender and made a slush. I was soo embarrassed he went out his way, where as I’d have rather just took the juice.

I got up at 5am to see the sunrise.

It was soo much fun trying Dominican food and the banana mama drink haha

Of course both hotels had good and bad points. Tenerife you can stand where you want during the castle show, but sometimes it was hard to video as parents let their kids run and touch the lights in the castle. Dominican Republic had 3 staff telling people to stand back to where the bridge was, the staff stood talking over the castle show.

The Tenerife hotel is like Disneyland and Dominican Republic hotel is like Disney World, as it’s bigger.

I hope you enjoyed my video and subscribe – thank you 🙂
