Bahia Principe Fantasia Dominican Republic | Birthday Celebration Day 1

I used to love going to Bahia Principe Fantasia in Tenerife. The hotel was a different experience from other all inclusive hotels I had been to. However the last 2 visits weren’t soo good. In December I got messed about by the hotel, moved about different rooms. I was told there was a castle view room available, when I moved it was fully blocked by the tree. We then got moved to another room where the sliding doors were off the line and the door sat squint. I went again in March and was put facing the kids area for the 3rd time. The first time I accepted being a first time customer, but people kept telling me the hotel must treat you well and give you good rooms being a returning guests. The trust is there’s no loyalty. On the last night in Tenerife a man came and told me he booked after watching my videos and asked if I get paid to go to the hotel and told when to go. I told him I pay and 3 times out of 5 I’ve had bad rooms. He said you should speak to someone and tell them how you feel, as he or others wouldn’t have booked cause my videos. I would never use my videos as away to think I should get better rooms – however it made me realise there is no loyalty in the hotel and to go elsewhere. I took a flight to Tenerife for a day trip in January and more relaxed, known I wasn’t getting a bad room. It shows a lot and holidays shouldn’t be stressful.

I swapped Bahia Principe Fantasia Tenerife, for Bahia Principe Fantasia Dominican Republic !

I traveled with British Airways, flying from Glasgow Airport to Gatwick and then Gatwick Airport to Punta Cana.

Honestly I was stressed dreading the room, but after traveling for 12 hours ( 1 hour flight to London and 9 hour flight London to Punta Cana ) it paid off as I got an amazing room with the castle view !!!

The staff at Dominican Republic Bahia Principe Fantasia are soo friendly. It wasn’t the same though, without Lissa and Cedric from the Tenerife hotel.

I never imagined myself doing solo travel to an all inclusive, but there is soo much to do at Bahia Principe Fantasia in Punta Cana.
