  1. I haven't won a single time, and I've been trying for two months, this game is so hard

btw if you didn't know you can hold ALT on an enemy or a character to scan them and see what they can do

  2. I do miss the tension in dd1 of having a high level character on death's door. DD1 overall is just more tense, which I love, but DD2 is definitely more approachable.

  3. In my runs i found that with the leper the best trophy is the general immobilizer. Nothing moves you not even the leviathan . Harvest child? No one gets the hunger bite except the first . It is awesome. In my opinion is so good that it must be nerfed to the point to not be able to use move skills with that trophy. Think, point blank , lunge , strategic withdrawal, and more . But yes lair before the final guardian is thought even with the best teams if something goes wrong. And boy things got wrong in that boss . He was just ordering things to happen.

  4. The back stories on every zone are so damn good….Farm land and rural settings overrun with a foul meat that turns everyone into mutated monstrosities eating everything they can, the cities on fire and filled with masochists burning themselves alive, the coastal towns worshiping a new god of the sea and running to be changed into tentacled horrors, and every soldier sent to fight the cult has their mind instantly destroyed and they fall asleep waiting to die when they witness what they're up against. The beautiful illusion that was the world – fragmented and undone…

  5. It really bothers me that the enemies in the Feoter don't deal damage to the goat enemy when they feast on it, or when the Barron performs tongue lashing, I just feel like these are moves that should damage people in their own team.

  6. Anyone know why the game is only running at 12 frames for me ? I have a Gefore RTX 3060, CPU Ryzen 7 2700x with 32GB memory with all drivers updated. Tried to add some codes to the epic game launcher like -force-d3d12 in order to make it work but still nothing. Any advice would be welcomed. Love the vids baer

  7. It really does feel like this patch is pretty overtuned. Enemy crits seem to happen way more frequently, and stress heals from your crits are way down, to the point where trying to have a run without the jester or MAA is practically impossible because of how much stress gets tossed around. I like the idea of the areas having environmental effects, but the breathe of the leviathan shouldn't happen anymore once you kill it…is that just me? Also I feel like the second chapter boss is way too strong. I've had teams that get all the good stuff and wipe the floor with everything, but only beat the sigh by bumping death's door 14 times. Which makes it feel more like luck that I won rather than making the best of a bad situation.

  8. Another party with a Tempest, another loss. I mentioned a few episodes ago that every time Baer includes this character in the lineup, he doesn’t make it to the end. This is now the fifth loss (at least) that he has suffered with the character. It really isn’t looking like coincidence at this point.

The major challenge with the Tempest (like all leper paths) is that, unless you want to rely on blind luck (pun intended), you really need to babysit him with characters that can liberally apply combo to his targets (like jester and to some degree occultist and runaway) or clear his blindness. Even this measure isn’t foolproof because it is usually more important for those party members to target the backline first. And Man at Arms is usually better off using Retribution to maximise the party’s damage output (and riposte against backline enemies) than using Command on the Tempest. The limited action economy really puts all leper variants at a disadvantage. Some trinkets may be able to offset his weaknesses but you’re not guaranteed to find them in a given run.

In any case- in the face of loss- one can only endure and, in enduring, grow strong.

  9. overconfidence again.

with how action economy works you must deal with the leviathan hand asap, it has two actions a turn that deals high damage and 2 stress each, and of course the push/pull. Using revenge while already having ruin on is hubris.

Keep at it Baer, we love your content. Showing us both the successes and failures is part of the fun.

  10. This was very entertaining just watching dumpster fire plunge doc tank more blows than the actual tank and surviving, with every hit I thought it would be the last, but dumpster fire didn't hear no fat lady singing she just wanted to run everybody fade even against exemplar.
