Bad Weather, about to get Worse

Welcome to Sonne Farms! On this channel we showcase numerous jobs a Corn/Soybean/Beef producing operation takes on each day. Hop in the cab or sorting alley with Cole, Brian, and Jeff, to see how life really is for the people that help feed the US and the rest of the world. 1. Always makes me wonder how old timers got along with the snow, winter of 48 49 was brutal!! All they had for tractors would have been farmall M H deere A B G , other brands where not much better. Look at machinery today, heated cabs, lots of power, move more snow in minutes, than old timers did in a day!!

  2. About the bowed rod on your failed contraption: you can take out most of a bow like that by heating up the middle of the convex side with a torch. When it cools it will pull the metal and take the bend out. (of course bit by bit is better). I used that trick plenty of times when fabricating, even on thick 3 inch square tube.

  3. I watched your first video so I could compare the farm then to the improvements you've made to this point. Wow!! You've come a long way and I'm so happy to have come on this journey with you. I'm glad I'm not a cow (turns up thermostat). Edited to say I love your videos because you don't talk too much. Is that a Scandinavian trait? My uncle was from South Dakota and he was the same way. Didn't say much but when he did it was worth listening to.

  4. “By the breath of God ice is given,
    and the broad waters are frozen fast.

    He loads the thick cloud with moisture;
    the clouds scatter his lightning.

    They turn around and around by his guidance, to accomplish all that he commands them on the face of the habitable world.

    Whether for correction or for his land
    or for love, he causes it to happen."

  5. Mail time just becomes bill time. Doesn't that just sum up life? Anyway, it's just sad that the folks who complain about high prices don't see all the extra work that goes into producing healthy beasts at this time of year. Keep warm.

  7. That was great information you just put out there about how much hay you all go through, and then the information on the ranches in Montana and Wyoming. I’m such a freak for nonsensical information. I just kinda hoard it in my little mind!

  8. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get with the weather. Mother Nature does what she wants. Hopefully, this will contribute to a better planting season.
