Bad to Worse – Episode 16 – Community Design Campaign

The Royal Navy is really struggling now as we try to establish a full blockade of Britain. With more free resources I direct the fleet to start dealing with the Spanish who have avoided our attentions for far too long.

  1. Brother Munro:
To help you answer your question: 12:42 your CA's 5 in gun hits the BC fore belt which caused A turret ammo to go up which subsquently caused it to flash fire which introduced a chain of flash fires. So it was YOUR CA which flash fired the BC by a 5 in gun NO LESS!!!

Second, is it possible that your bulid me a Super Bismark with 4 quad 20 inch turrets in ABXY???!!!!

  2. Methinks an increase in difficulty to give the AI more money is in order. Hopefully that'd mean we see more of the shared designes. What are you planning on playing as btw? Imperial Russian artisan?

  3. Commenting for the greater glory of The Algorithm.
I thought maybe Steam had a way to mark a game as "Do not update", but it seems you can only control when it is going to be updated, not if. Ah well… proceed to hit hard & fast!

  4. I cant believe you are still trying to play this disaster of a game. It had so much promise yet they somehow managed to fudge it up in every way possible. Each time i try ro play it i just wish i could revert back to patch 1.06 when it was actually enjoyable.

  5. It's admittedly sad that it took about 1/2 of this episode to really let the news of 1.4's Save File wipes really sink in. To be honest, I'm rather melancholy for you BrotherMunro, but also for all of us who've put the work (untold amounts of hours) into creating a new Era of Competence (in Designs) for this game. (Or at least the "Seeds" for it) 😜

I got a chance to catch some of BroSilly's 1.4 Beta Exploration Stream, & parts of it seem worthwhile for justifying a save wipe, such as Quad Secondaries for all nations 🀯, a couple new gun models, & also a few "new" repeatable cruiser hulls &/or components for a couple of nations (UK, Germany, US (I think)).

But hopefully for all of us UAD Community Members, this update will be worth the agony. 🀞

If can make one request of your Organizing Talents, would you possibly create a 1.4 ZIP Drop Box for Community Designs when 1.4 goes Live please! πŸ‘

The player designs seem (as you've observed) to be genuinely improving AI ship designs. Markedly increasing the Challenge & Difficulty of battle encounters.
(Especially for us Rebels that still get licked by the HE flames of Vanilla).

Till 1.4 Drops: Live Long, Prosper, & Good Hunting! πŸ––

  6. I'm sure you know you can copy the entire game dir & run the executable from there – just have to remember to religiously back up the data dir before you run 1.4 from steam… I wish you could tell it where to look for save data on the commandline.

"Stahlkreiger" was the other one you had to rename, it's "kreyeger" at the moment πŸ™‚
