  1. A lot of these Dieseses are brought on by birds. With outdoor facilities it's impossible for them to prevent. Unless they have a vacation that really works.
Bird πŸ’© and birds landing in water is a big issue. That's how it spreads…

  2. Glad to hear there are fish going to be planted. In all my 70 yrs I had never heard of these infections that have occured in the past couple of years. I am sure there are biologists and icthiologists who have studied how and why this happens. The powers that be need to listen to their solutions. We won't be up there until Sept, hopefully there will be some fish in the Owens River.

  3. I was under the impression that all hatcheries will stop raising fish due to the low water situation. That was posted by another youtuber also stating that Big Bear will no longer get trout. If the D.F.G do shut down the hatcheries they MUST bring in fish from somewhere else.My 2 cents!

  4. These ongoing bacterial outbreaks at the state hatcheries sound like incompetence or misconduct at the hatcheries. I am glad I went fishing at Mammoth Lakes several weeks ago and slew trout at Convict Lake with my 6-year-old daughter. We had a blast and did a lot of catch and release.
