Back at Disneyland! | Rope drop + news of Walt Disney World trip

After a two week blockout stretch, we’re back in Disneyland and we couldn’t be happier about it. We’re going to do rope drop, hit a couple of rides, and experience the love an peace that we have missed so much from Disneyland. Along the way, we’ll talk about our upcoming trip to Walt Disney World (if you haven’t already heard).

  1. Whoa I cannot believe the crowd at Disneyland! It always amazes me. Congrats David, Liz & Sofia going to Disney World in 1 week! That's so awesome! I can't wait to see the videos. They will be amazing. Happy New Year!🎉🎉🎉🎉

  2. I was there yesterday too. My first time ever with a park hopper. As expected when I was in DCA I felt this magnetic pull sucking me towards Disneyland much of the time haha. Traffic coming down from Ventura County was soooo light it felt like early in the pandemic. I left Thousand Oaks at 7:49 am and I got to Mickey and Friends at 8:58 am (regular work day that would take at least 30 min longer at that time). Of course the line to park took 25 min so it sort of evened out. But I definitely crushed the parks (14 rides) and didn’t use Genie+ (never will). Because I’m diabolical I rode Splash Mtn at 10 pm and much to my surprise I didn’t get wet AT ALL….got my own log for the first time and sat in row 3. I knew they turned down the jets in the winter but I had no idea you could actually completely avoid getting wet! I think if more people knew this it wouldn’t be a walk on at night!

  4. One thing I noticed about his videos is he always include the parts when some people recognize him and yell “Fresh Baked!” Like we get, you’re famous, a lot of people patronize your channel, a lot of people know you. It just gets tiring.

  5. David, I am so thrilled for you and your family getting your trip to Orlando! We booked Getaway today through you for Disneyland in June. I love your content because you are nostalgic like I am. I have been going to Disneyland since 1961, and I get the same thrill each and every time. Thanks for all you give us, and again, thrilled for you all! We went last year and had a great time

  6. Florida suggestion. Study the park maps know where you are going. Have a bit of a game
Plan. Buy genie plus. Sunday the 8 the marathon people will still be there. Always mobile order. Make sit down reservations if you can find any left. And just don’t panic if you don’t get it all done.

  7. I dream of a skyway at DCA! Or a continuation of the Monorail system. I know Logistically its near impossible there because it was already designed long ago on the cheap. I could fall in love with that park a lot more if there were some sort of transportation to get across or around it. I am a senior, and that park kicks my you know what every time ! Especially in the heat. But it has become a true Disney park now and I love it.

  8. Oh my god!!!! I’m SO excited for you guys to go to WDW! The first time is a little overwhelming but in the best Disney way, of course. But at least you’ll have Getaway Today to lean on. WDW Prep School is another great resource if you need it. And then there’s Universal! Totally different experience than Hollywood but so fun. Can’t wait to see your take on everything that’s new and familiar. Also sounds like I need to join the lives more often 🙈

  9. So amazing for Getaway Today to sponsor your trip!! You absolutely deserve it.

Also, can we request the following videos from your trip that are just quintessentially fresh baked?!
    – a transportation video (the monorail loop, skyliner and boats)
    – a video solely dedicated to people mover

    😂❤️

  11. I'm fortunate enough to have scored the best role in all of the parks. Magic Kingdom Watercraft, but I miss Disneyland so much. Hope to see you on your trip, you're going to love it.
