After 2 years Back 4 Blood has been fully abandoned. I guess that’s what happens when you make a charmless game trying to leech off of Left 4 Dead. It’s a shame too because Back 4 Blood did have potential.

Sam this is the funniest title I’ve ever seen I subbed
I dont think anybody likes back 4 blood
Great video! Your channel is really growing. I'm happy for you! It's really cool that you mentioned the new DL2 community update btw because I was wondering if you had noticed it lol : )
What do you think about Back 4 Blood?
I don’t think any sentence fits this game better then: One of the games of all time
Just bought the game 5 minutes ago on 75% sale and very glad I wasn't one of the poor souls spending 60usd on It.
Completed this game and thought it was mediocre. Played through it on the "No Hope" difficulty and realized it's utterly broken.
Back 4 Blood wasn't good enough because it wasn't bad enough
super clever title
I liked B4B more than L4D2 because there's buildcrafting and it's more complex but it just didn't keep me around. You beat it and that's it
Evolve was goated
I really regret getting the special edition of this game
Too late, they did Multiversus, and that recently los almost 99% of it's player base.
I have 100 hours in l4d2 so i thought that this game will be something for me, but after 2 hours i was litreally sleeping
The game isn't bad and never was bad. It is what Left 4 Dead 3 would be, this is what modern gaming is and it's honestly a surprise the game didn't feature some battle pass or loot box system. The unending ridiculing of the game was done out of simple mindedness of people as well as the widesprade lack of ability to identify that the gaming scene has changed and so have the way modern titles are brought about.
Yet again the "Made by the creators of Left 4 Dead line comes in again". The statement is entirely true, Valve had next to no input on the original game and you can even watch and read through the development process of the original game itself to see how Valve infact RUSHED TRS to release the game, but TRS defied them, wanting to refine their game before launch. Even in the developers walkthrough of the original game these very same accounts can be heard, as well as expanded upon from TRS employees. Stop thinking "Valve carried Left 4 Dead", because they didn't. It is fundamentally wrong and disproven from within the very game you defend oh so much with your hearts. This isn't the only misleading information that crowbcat handed out in his horrible video, but I'll save you the trouble and recommend you watch a video by a very VERY good Left 4 Dead player (he is also behind the YouTube channel HSTop) which is called "Why Back 4 Blood is better than Left 4 Dead (eng subs)" which can be found on the YouTube channel "inc" (turn on subtitles, the creator speaks in Russian).
The free content update for L4D2 ruined the game, it half patched certain glitches whilst keeping certain game breaking ones in, not to mention all of the problems they had on launch with their patches simply applying to the wrong parts of the game. The "content" they added was hardly anything, 2 melee weapons that are flat out worse than what we already had, CS:S weapons which where already in the game had you installed the unlocker from the workshop, as where the "new unheard voicelines" which could also be unlocked through several workshops. The actual campaign itself was horrible, easily the worst in the game apart from Crash Course, even then Crash Course still has better parts to it. And the only other thing was the addition of survival maps which as far as I'm concerened is just bloatware because none of those maps get played, the survival lobbies are all still Atrium and Concert.
Bashing the card system, every veteran players specialty! Play an act of No Hope and tell me how much the game can change when you get Cost of Averice with 3 bots in "Sunken Passages". You can hardly criticize the game for not being replayable when you play the difficulties that remove 80% of the corruption cards so you don't get absolutely slaughtered.
I've loved the game since beta, and it has only gotten better ever since, it's the perfect follow up to Left 4 Dead 2. Having played both games extensively I can comforatably say that the only thing better in Left 4 Dead is versus, and if you're into it (which a lot of actual veterans to the game aren't) you also have the workshop. Beyond that Left 4 Dead is a barren game with an illogical story, unchallenging gameplay, unballanced weapons and irritating mechanics (lerp, zombie stun, bad hit reg). Back 4 Blood has a perfectly logical story, which when you read into the lore has 100x the detail and effort put into it, and the mission you do in the game actual end up meaning something as everything you do has a purpose, it's not just to make it to the fantasy helicopter to be taken for almost certain execution by the military. In B4B you can use any gun and make it work, the card system allows for it, it even allows for entirely different types of gameplay (such as being a medic, or a scavenger), team compositions suddenly matter and your mistakes are way more costly, not to mention how B4Bs difficulty actually is a difficulty rather than a suggestion. You can't just hold W mindlessly in B4B, which you can do in L4D, even expert realism is a cake walk compared to B4Bs No Hope mode. The devs listened to what the people had to say and the game changed for the better because of it, content was added that didn't ruin the game in any way and only added to the overall feel, and although the game leaves a lot left to be desired it is still by far and away a much better game then any of the troglodyte "veteran" (they played for 60 hours total) L4D players would ever tell you.
2k+ hours in L4D, 1k+ hours in B4B for anyone who cares (no one)
1 big issue is (even every games in this year), lower end pc users would be struggle to play any games that has pay loads of graphics (even if u make everything low in settings) that doesnt even cut the tree at all
Yes havent subbed yet but its coming soon to get notification from e
Another example of a game that boasts about it being "better" than another game always flops. Look at all the "Halo killers" back in the day. Halo spanked all of them
Should have said ‘From the creators of Evolve’
yall remember when the zombies in back 4 blood said NYIGGA back then when the game started
Proximity
Jesus, I just bought the game with all dlc… fuck
Oddly enough, the most successful spiritual successor to L4D is and always was, Payday 1 & 2. I know, I know Cops sans Zombies, but Payday took a ton of cues and influence from L4D, they even had a "No Mercy" crossover event in both games. Payday games were the only successor game to use the L4D formula (4 player co-op, objective based missions, enemy waves + special types) that went on to become a massive hit with a huge playerbase even to this day.
There's Vermintide II, but that was considerably a more modest hit. Which is still impressive considering Most L4D "knockoffs" either struggle like B4B/Darktide or outright die like Aliens Fireteam for example.
Back 4 Blood is awesome, its far better than Left 4 dead (and yes i loved L4D when it came out)
Vermintide and vermintide 2 is best. Left 4 dead is most best. Super og vermintide is indeed. Dark tide is well, boring in my opinion. Uneeded, Didn't really need it. We get so many Warhammer 40k games already, and fantasy/aos rarely ever gets any attention in games other than total war.
Completely unrelated but what's ur streaming schedule?
i think a lot of people are having a stick up their arse
so they did bad advertising, aight, so what?
then explain to me what l4d does BETTER, because i played and enjoyed both but i dont understand this ridiculous childish hatred towards b4b, it's not a l4d3, i doubt it was ever marketed as such and why on earth wouldnt they advertise it with something they already did right? But even if it was, where does this pathetic hatred come from? it isn't the same, right, with the decks it offers a LOT more variety than l4d ever did which quite literally only had equipment to play off, not even skills or perks based on a character iirc
yes l4d was great, but the stick up people's arse is merely based on the fact that l4d 'was there first and so b4b is just a copy cat trying to leech off it's success'
and do you know how old people thinking like that usually are?
right, they're usually children, so that's quite embarassing
Comment baiting to exploit YouTube algorithm.
Hey, there are 5 troll accounts memeing in the comment section already. I think I see why those five developers still on TR's payroll, left over from left 4 dead, can't seem to make an above average game. 🙂
They spent millions on this game plus 100s of man hours so a virgin sat in his mums house can completely disregard the effort and skill it takes to make a game. They gave up like most company’s because what’s the point in making anything for such toxic and putrid players. Hence why gaming is dying and the gap between good games gets longer and longer each year. Blame the boys that don’t touch grass and only opinion is a negative one.
Tbh i think back 4 blood is an amazing game right now. And this is coming from someone who played l4d Religiously, nonstop expert campaigns. I think allot of people just ride the hate band wagon. In opinion the game is awesome
It just an average game, nothing bad about it but nothing to real write home about. Which didn't help since they kept slapping on "from the creators of". Because it will ultimately make people compare it to the previous one.
And valve definitely made most of left for dead, turtle rock during the time of both games were a small studio so it made sense for valve to add there workers to help with the development.
Them going to the next game after a year of support is sort of shows how they never were the brains behind the orginal game. Hell evolved should of been a clear sign they also aren't good at making games either
I recently returned to B4B to finish out the achievements and I discovered via the community the game is easier and therefore also a better experience than in co-op. How wild is that?
It failed the moment it didnt have 4 v4 pvpve campaign.
Man this sucks. I just picked this up and it is FANTASTIC. The card system and great weapon play make this game so satisfying.
Would be better if they release a new franchise for Left 4 dead
