It is a fact that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Cabinet lacks political heavy weights or experienced politicians especially in the field of International Affairs.
King Charles III has a Great international relationship with many World leaders particularly Royal families in the Middle East. This is very useful in these stormy times.
King Charles III is Sovereign of 14 Commonwealth realms in addition to the UK. His Majesty is also Head of the Commonwealth itself, an association of 56 independent countries. This is an important symbolic and unifying role.
Charles III has said that as King his activities would be very different to that as Crown Prince.
Yet there are many who would like to keep King Charles III very much involved in politics.
At a recent interview John Kerry former Secretary of State to President Obama was encouraging King Charles III as the Champion of Green Energy.
King Charles III is very concerned about protecting the environment.
For more than 100 years, the Western economic system has been based on cheap energy in forms of fossil fuels.
The transition from fossil to Green energy is expensive and complicated.
Governments should be allowed to be realistic about the time frame of transition and its costs.
Transition from Fossil to Green Energy
Winston Churchill 1911 as Navy Secretary ordered the British fleet changing to oil from coal. Back then everyone predicated the end of coal industry yet 112 years later there is a huge coal industry with massive demand.
It would take much longer than 10-15 years for the transition from fossil to Green.
Politicians have to get real about the timeframe and scope of the project.
