Meet Alex, callsign ‘NOBLE’ and is the 2021-2024 German Air Force Eurofighter Display Pilot with his wonderful display at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2024.
Noble started life as a mechanic, like Groundcrew Drew and had a soft spot for Phantoms. He was a mechanic at Fighter bomb Wing 32 at Lechfeld Air Base which is home of the Tornado ECR Fleet. After becoming an officer he pursued his career to become a fighter pilot which led him to Texas, USA, flying a Grob 120 and then a T6 Texan 2. With lots more training and simulator work, Noble found himself where our very own Jens is from, Neuburg. Neuburg is a QRA base, like our RAF Lossiemouth and RAF CONINGSBY. He joined the 742 ‘Zapata’ squadron, and trained up on QRA and took part in air policing.
His demo is sensational and you can tell he thoroughly enjoys it with 9G turns and barrel rolls.

So, for the 2024 display season the RAF had ´TURBO’ bringing the ‘Phoonage and the Luftwaffe had ‘NOBLE’. Two pilots from different nations but both at the top of their game and with the same objective; To thrill the crowds wherever they go. Nice display Noble 🇩🇪
