I have to admit I wasn’t keen on the first few episodes it felt dull but as I continued watching, I started to very much enjoy it. I hope they can lean into the character traits more in season two.
Toph is my fav also! I love the episode, "The Ember Island Players" book 3 chapter 15 Where the actor for Toph makes his intro and says, "My names Toph, because it sounds like tough, and thats just what I am!" kills me every time. I also think The Rock could play that role marvelously if the Netflix adaptation goes to a third season, definitely wanting them to do it, hell, they could do a fourth, fifth, etc., and tell fully original storys of the following aftermath and that would be cool too. complete freedom if they wanted it 😉
The Fire Nation deserves a spinoff.
The visual effects were amazing. On the flip the acting wasn’t that great, but towards the end I became invested in the characters. Would ❤season 2

They portrayed Iroh PERFECTLY.
Man Princess Yue of the live action show pissed me off soo much, her wig and eyebrows where soo out of place. The movie got her soo right, she was perfect, i wish they casted her again.
What I learned in this breakdown:
– Aang randomly popped out of the iceberg.
– Gran Gran is Katara and Sokka's mother.
– Katara's feminist nature was toned down (as opposed to Sokka's sexism being toned down).
– Hei Bai is pronounced "hi bye."
– "Forcing Aang to travel to Avatar Roku's shrine in the Fire Nation in order to save the untethered souls of his friends."
– "Forcing Aang to travel to Avatar Roku's shrine at Crescent Island in order to save the untethered souls of his friends."
17:40 I get what you saying MT so I guess all I’ll say is experiencing survivors guilt might not be as relatable to audiences as experiencing the disappointment/disapproval of a parent. Season was meh but I did like this scene
Show was great with lots to dissect and what great fun it must have been to work on this show. One thing though (and just my opinion) is that I couldn't get past the size or the arrow and that deep black color. A smaller light blue, baby blue, grey-ish blue arrow and trailer would have been preferable for me because the arrow seemed totally distracting everytime I looked at his face. Seemed very out of place and the contrast of the black made my mind belive that I was seeing inconsistencies in the shape of the lines (squiggly not straight) and overall triangular structure!(Side note: Does playboy Saka now go back to Suki now that his fling with the princess is over!?!? hahaha 😂😂😂)
Anyways, great job by netflix I really enjoyed the series and I can't wait for season two.
