Finally caught up
I begin to wonder that Iroh could have visited this beach after his supposed failure for not taking Ba Sing Se and the terrible loss of his son Lu Ten. As Lo and Li themselves said "The beach has a special way of smoothing even the most ragged edges and revealing one's true self." Just a thought.
What I love is the fact that zuko has had always 2 sides of him. Good/evil, his burned side of his face/non burned side, the red/blue dragon, he’s related to the fire lord and the avatar. Hes always had 2 different parts of him. Which is why he is the perfect descendant to restore the honor of the fire nation and his family.
When you realize iroh has that royal artifact because he was supposed to be the firelord 😢
Azula’s rizz would’ve work on me fr
It was always Iroh's destiny to pass that heirloom to his son.
36:15 roku's granddaugther & sozin's grandson
40 minutes?! Yes! Love more content cause your reaction to this fantastic tv show is on point when I first watched it when I was younger 😅
The episode where Aang and them were in the cave revealed the assassin with the metal arm. You probably forgot he was already introduced
“Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?” Always gets me.
Nice to see you again twinkle toes
Honestly even when I was first watching this show back when it was originally airing on TV I thought it was BS that Roku didn't just jump into the Avatar state. People these days preach about Avatar being literally perfect in every conceivable way but like most other works of fiction it has its share of plot conveniences. The writers clearly just wanted to audience to forget Avatars could do that for this scene to make sense lol. There is no way a volcanoes eruption is any match for the Avatar based on the feats witnessed in this show.
In season 1, when Aang went in the fire nation territory to meet Roku for the first time, notice how Roku attacked everyone in the Fire nation beside Zuko and the guy that helped Aang get inside. Ruko helped Aang and friends escape, but he also helped Zuko escape. 3 seasons later, we understand it's because of what we learn in this episode. It's brilliant !
33:49 🤯 My favorite reveal of the series. Zukos character is so amazingly written.
Hi Melon both of these episode's are fantastic in defeat ways
The episode center around Zuko Azula Ty Lee and Mai
You get great character development between the inter group
But you also see that Zuko and Azula dad emotionally damaged both his children in different ways Zuko scarred and sent away Azula here dad used here for power and nothing else she just wanted to be loved and he used it against her
Zuko and Azula mother didn't help Azula there dad had such a horrible hold on her she probably didn't know how to help her
And like Azula said in the end of the Beach episode she thought her mother saw her as a monster and even if Azula never talked to her mother about it you could tell by her experience on her face that it hurt more than she explained
To here brother and friends
As for Sozin and Roku back story it's so sad
Because they want form best friends to enemies
Avatar the last Airbender is amazing with world balding and character
Beach episodes are an anime thing, very common, this subverts those expectations by having a lot of development
15:35 Azula : My own mother thought I was a monster… She was right, of course, but it still hurt.
It's elaborated in the comics. Zuko's mom Ursa is the granddaughter of Roku. Ozai chose her and took her from her village so he could have a powerful bending lineage.
Don’t think about the finale just enjoy every minute. Trust me you’re about to see the greatest episodes!❤❤❤
Luv ur reactions and analyses to this epic (maybe best ever) show super much!!! And glad i can rewatch this with you! ❤👍✨ (the editting of the vids are awesome too!!)
i like to think that the whole time between that confrontation and the volcano, sozin always had a plan to conquer the world but had his hands tied because the avatar was still alive to still stop you. sozin kinda wanna help roku but then realised that he could just let him die in the volcano and his reincarnation would take another 20 years to master the elements & stop him. aang just happened to escape before the comet attack, which I think is just a really great story. The whole story of this show is also increedible from how the war started to how the characters evolved to how the story ended.
i loooove how this book wraps up, is all i can say, badassery is afoot in the near future.
Finally! a beach episode.
she really acts like this is the Zuko show and doesn't care about Aang's group at all
"My own mother thought I was a monster. She was right of course, but it still hurt." has to be the iconic line for Azula as that other line is for Zuko.
