I love your reactions, I hope you can see Korra!
I’ve watched ever battlestar video you have and am not used to you not say battle star galactica haha.
You should read the comic. It would answer your question. Wonderful reaction btw, are you going to do Korra next?
I truly love the sequence where Aang goes through past Avatars to try to find anyone who will tell him what he wants to hear: that he doesn't have to murder. And all of them tell him that they would do it if they had to, even the Air Nomad — she believes that all life is sacred, just like he does, but also believes the Avatar can't put his personal morals above the fate of the world. But none of them actually tell him "YES, YOU HAVE TO KILL HIM". None of them directly say "Killing him is the right thing to do." Some of them are more or less opposed to taking a life, but they all say that he has to *do what's necessary*… and it turned out that there was a way to do that without killing. Aang found a way.
"perfect"
The world is divided into two peoples: those who have been blessed with ATLA and those who are in darkness
5:30 He sort of does, thanks to captain Sokka this guy won't have to remember for the rest of his life that he participated ina genocide on his birthday.
32:00 Zuko never liked to be the kind of royalty who had people serve him, remember when he was prince and felt really uncomfortable with people serving him?
36:30 Lu Ten would have been with his father.
41:00 You may want to read the comic then.
You are the only reactor that noticed that in the final scene Katara is the one that kisses Aang.
I watch Avatar the year it aired, it has been 18 years since, and I have watched the series like 15 times already, no kidding. My way to stay connected to the show is by watching people watching it for the first time and reminding me how it make me feel 18 years ago. I love how you never hold your emotions, I cried with you, reacting the same way I would do. Thaks for sharing this with all of us! Greetings from Mexico 🇲🇽
Azulas spiral into madness was made possible because May and Tailee betrayed her. Before Azula had a thin anchor to reality. She had the illusion of friendship. Azula is a perfect villain, pushed into madness not just portrayed from the start as mad. This show was and probably still is, one of the best shows ever created.
The solution to Aangs "dilemma" was solved by introducing a new angle of approach a third way.
This show managed to show the dilemma of death, war los in a kid-friendly way and yet so brutal only adults would understand the full implications.
I am so glad I was alive when this was made and could enjoy it, no regrets never.
Only firebenders can redirect lightning. It's so tragic that Azula and Zuko ended up having to fight each other as siblings. The sad music fits, and you see how Zuko at the end is sad to see Azula in that state. He and Katara are not triumphant about their win at all.
To bend energy, your spirit must not bend. And Aang could never bend towards killing Ozai.
Roku: You must be decisive.
Kyoshi: Only justice will bring peace.
Kuruk: You must actively shape your own destiny and the destiny of the world.
Yangchen: Selfless duty calls you to sacrifice your own spiritual needs, and do whatever it takes to protect the world.
Aang was decisive – he was not going to back down, both from the fight, but also from who he is as an air bender. He was going to end it, not wait until the comet passes, and he was going to end it the right way.
Aang dealt justice – killing Ozai wouldn't be justice and wouldn't bring peace. Just as Iroh did not fight Ozai because it would just be viewed as brother fighting brother for the throne, Aang killing Ozai would just be taken as an air bender taking revenge on the Fire Nation. Taking his bending away so he has no power over people, and putting him in jail, is fitting for his crimes and also for the neutral status that the Avatar must be.
Aang actively shaped his own destiny – he didn't let his Avatar state make him kill Ozai. He overrode his Avatar state just before killing Ozai and instead did things his way.
Aang was willing to sacrifice his own spiritual needs – it was a risk to try and bend energy for the first time and during the heightened power of the comet-powered Ozai. He could have been taken over, but he was willing to take the chance. Do whatever it takes to protect the world.
This was such an amazing journey re-watching these with you! Thank you. ❤✨
The visuals and the badassery are ALWAYS AMAZING, but the parts I wait for are the ones that break your heart. I was never angry with you -I was sad because I was afraid you'd lost your way. I don't think boomerang's coming back, Toph. The… GRIEVING tone of the music –not triumphant, not exciting. This wasn't an epic fight for glory, this was a broken family, a child with an impossible task. It's absolutely perfect, and it ruins me
I love your entire reaction
I can see your feelings are true ❤
God Mark Hamill as the Fire Lord is SO good
Iroh is one of the top 5 fictional characters….EVER! My daughter tells me I should cos-play Uncle Iroh. I just don't think I could do him justice. This IS a masterpiece!
Can’t wait for korra you’ll love her
I'm SO happy you reacted to this show and I found your channel.
You crying for Azula,
Your respect and understanding for Aang's choices, your joy for his success,
And especially your reaction to the final episode title. The first episode was The Boy in the Iceberg. And now the final is Avatar Aang. Everything about this show is poetic.
So many of your feelings were my thoughts and feelings, and I truly enjoyed feeling it all again and crying with you haha. Ty for the journey.
This show, I grew up with it. It's engrained into my soul and guides me to living the best life I can. It taught me consideration, mindfulness, kindness, to take other perspectives and learn of other's journeys. To have patience and make my own honor. I wouldn't be who I am without it, and am grateful to have lived when I have for the privilege of being able to have watched it, many times over.
May all of you who read this have as magnificent of a day as you can, sending my best <3
I remember when I watched the finale many years back. At the time my favorite character was Zuko. Nowadays, while I still love Zuko’s character, Iroh has taken the number 1 spot for me and Zuko number 2. I think Iroh’s wisdom and the “you need rest Prince Zuko, a man needs his rest” style quotes continue to enter my mind to this day and bring me great joy and comfort. Iroh was not only a skillful Firebender and well-known General, but also a brilliant poet and spokesperson whose voice almost echoes into one’s heart. Iroh is the embodiment of what it means to have excellent character and his journey with the Dragons (mentioned by the Sun Warriors) and membership into the White Lotus simply speaks volumes to his wisdom, openness to understand other peoples, and overall commitment to goodness. I’m so thankful for this show.
This series can't be beaten, I'm glad you got to watch it the full way through. I hope you can start on the Legend of Korra soon. It's not perfect like Avatar, but it's definitely worth it!
You will love Korra!
I feel like sometimes people forget Azula is a pretty little kid, even thinking of her breakdown like that of an older person. Damaged kids are so tragic. I feel like all of Azula's crazy was walled away behind iron discipline, but for some reason watching your watch-through really made me realize that it was Mei and Ty Lee's demonstration that their companionship wasn't friendship and loyalty but coercion that put the first holes in the walls. Fear of abandonment and rejection have always been the things hiding behind that wall, so of course being rejected made the cracks. And the ending shows that, however she may have acted nonchalant and cruel, her fear began by thinking her mother loved Zuko more than her. I mean, all the things Azula accomplishes or inflicts, remember those are the actions of a 14 year old, basically an 8th grader. She might not have even reached 15 by the end of the show.
The most perfect ending ever!
And here we are at the end of all things. <3
I will never get tired of others discovering this series. I'm glad you loved it.
I'll say this now, don't read The Search. Everything you think you know about Ursa is……well let me put it this way, she's not the character we thought she was.
Korra time=)
your emotions are so weird but anyway thx for reaction to this masterpiece.
You should watch attack on titan
Sorry but did't you miss an episode ? I can't see the one where Katara is going on a mission with Zuko as well 🤔
And if I remember well, the 3rd book has 22 episodes and not 21 😅
