  1. Been loving your core keeper guides recently man. Thank you. A quick suggestion: It would be cool if you started your guides with a quick preview of the finished product so we can see what we're working toward and take the first few seconds to be specific about why it's worth it while (This farm will produce XY and Z which you'll need a lot of in order to craft AB and C). You did a version of this but really helping us understand exactly what it will be used for, not just will produce crafting materials, etc.

Could be helpful for new players to understand the purpose of each build and more experienced players so they can get a better feel for what you're building toward and how you're using automation blocks.

Just my two cents! Keep it up man.

  2. going to be honesty i think strolly poly and dodo should be diffrent design with root seeds and drills for infite food rather then input feeder that is manual labor and farm like this is based on automation ontop insect on the floor can be turned of in gameplay setting to not get sqeazed and they ignore belts soo having this design but input beaing replaced with like root seeds instead of input chest would be way smarter and then lead bugs into with corridor with belts the drills destroy growing root and bug get leaded inwards trough belts so cattle cant get out but bugs can get in only downside with that is technically u could siphon the root ur farming what might make it little bit less compact
i would add if any of cattle eat mushroom input chest should be replaced with shrooman mob farm input directly i think cow and goats are under that but dont quote me cuz i didnt mess with those 2 specafic

  3. Since I apparently forgot to specifically say this in the video itself: The drill by the feed trough is there to pull extra food that doesn't fit in the feed back 1 tile so it can be put back in the chest. This creates an infinite loop for the extra food and keeps the feed trough topped off at all times.

The reason for the logic circuit is that if you put a drill there that is just running non-stop, it will break the feed trough and ruin the entire farm. The logic circuit puts the drill on an irregular timer that prevents the feed trough from breaking.

Its also worth noting that this feature was more useful in Early Access when stacks only went to 999 and it was quicker and easier to run out of food. This part of the system may not be needed anymore due to the larger stack sizes.

  4. Really cool. I wish Core Keeper just had working NPCs like Necesse so you could make a realistic farm where the animals can roam and be happy lol. Here just looks inhumane but oh well it is what it is. =D I need to build one.

My farm has 50000000 cows in it because the game doesn't have a way to auto farm other than the "robotic" way in this video.

  5. This is great. Gave me a fun idea for my world, too. I'm gonna make a free range space and hide one of these scaled up productions behind it. With mannequin guards in front of the doors. "nothing to see here"

  6. I finally built this but no babies seem to be happening. Where are the babies supposed to spawn? From my testing they need a tile around the cattle to spawn..they seem to only spawn 1 tile away and so maybe they won't spawn on conveyors? What am I missing?

I tested this by putting cows on 1 tile each with water and then just having one corner tile to them. I did two sets one with the corner/water and one with connected tiles. The one with corners never produced a baby but the other did. So then I filled in the diagonals on the other and a baby was immediately produced. So I am confused how a baby gets produced with this design and even more by how one is to make it down to the drill since it can't get passed the conveyor (you mentioned overflow..but since I can't even get one baby to spawn….. haha)

I will let it run overnight and see if anything changes.

Just thought that maybe it's because I put stone floor under them…can that block spawn just like it blocks trees? After I removed the floor tiles (stone floor tiles) a baby produced so maybe that was it. Will report back tomorrow πŸ™‚

Also – I keep forgetting about discord rather than commenting here lol.

  7. Love it πŸ‘Œ
I've built it and now I'm racking my brain trying to figure out if there's a way to set up an auto feeding system maybe so my items go through there and then into the main sorter after having gone through an auto-smelter so I don't have to ever worry about feeding and make it more automatic xD

  8. Sorry, I don’t see the need to kill the animals. I know it is just a game and that is exactly why I prefer not to do that. Yes, I eat meat in RL. This kind of killing just makes my stomach roll. A little too close to reality, I suppose. To each their own.
