Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials have launched a new program to track the troubling prevalance of the flesh-eating “zombie drug” known as xylazine.
Xylazine is a sedative drug used by veterinarians to anesthetize animals. The drug, also known as “tranq,” “tranq dope,” on the streets, has become increasingly present in the illicit drug supply.
The drug can be cooked down into a powder form and mixed with illicit opioids such as heroin and fentanyl or pressed into counterfeit pills or sedatives. The “zombie drug” nickname stems from the drug’s known effect of rotting the skin.

This drug was on the streets of Kensington, Philadelphia Pa.for years no one gave a crap.. Addicts were dying and in bad shape because of the effects the drug had on human tissue. Addicts walking around with huge abscesses or worse became septic.. The only people that were trying to help were recovering addicts.. They were helping those using get into rehab or the hospital for treatment.. They also helped with food, provided transportation to 12 step meetings. They just made sure that those still using had someone in there corner when they were ready for help and they also kept in touch with some of the addicts families to let them know how they were.. There were times they made that call that no Mother or Father wants to get that there son or daughter overdosed and died!! My point is that maybe had they done something about the problem in Kensington.. The problem may not have spread to other areas.. I mean it took years to spread not like crack which was almost overnight!! May God Bless and Protect those who suffer from the disease of Addiction.. May those who are Suffering from any Type of Addiction be Cured In The Name Of Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. 🙏😇

I am very shocked to see all these down and outs and drug addicts, why arent the Government rehoming these people and helping them to get clean? I live in UK and our society and charities try to help people like this even if our Government don't always help. Also Prince William is taking it on board now to eradicate homelessness in the UK.
