  1. What a gift. To be able to express grief by sitting at the piano and singing. It's been said before but grief is the price for love.
Ashlena, showing your emotions just is a natural reaction, it proves you are a normal human, so let it flow. Love.

  2. I can’t wait for the new album to be released on June 7th. In the latest interview, she talked about the upcoming album, and it’s quite intriguing. she specified that the album will have a very different sound from her last three singles, and she enjoy surprising fans with something unique in each single. Moreover, she mentioned that this album is the most personal one they’ve written so far. It promises to be rich and substantial, with 16 tracks for an hour of listening. I added the link to his latest interview, which lasts about half an hour. It's really interesting and provides insights into the new album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6x1DdMqxdk

  3. Beautiful song. The video with her facing away is emotional. Thanks for doing. Have you seen the new interview? NME (whatever that means) did a 35 min interview on YT released 3=4 days ago. I now know Norwegian sign language for BS.

  4. You are right, it doesn't get better with time, it gets bearable with time. Lost my wife of 33 yrs 15 yrs ago and the idea of the "Five Stages of Grief" is also crap. I've never been been able to get past the anger. Only listen to this when reactors play it and makes me cry every time so don't really know why I do.

  5. I cried all through this, I lost my mum 12 years ago now but lost my husband late 2019 so it hits me too. I can't imagine how hard it was for you to go through pregnancy after your loss. I'm so sorry that happened to you. It is a gorgeous song but it breaks you…and yes it doesn't get better with time, you just learn to hide the pain from everyone.

  6. This one’s always hard to watch for me and for many others I’m sure
I know she wrote it for someone she lost, but it’s only natural for us to think of the ones we lost
I really do understand those feelings, losing my soul mate in 2021
    So sorry for your loss
    Grief stays with us always
Sometimes it’s good to cry, but it’s better when we’re ready for it
I listened anyway today ‘cause I needed to cry again
And I feel a bit better
Hope you have a good day 😊

  7. ::HUGS:: Thank you for your reaction. I remember ADKOH also affecting you, especially at the end. I don't take your vulnerability lightly. I've lost too many people this time of year and nearly lost my dad last week on the same day I Iost my mom 6 years ago. Though I've heard this song before, it's like your emotion gave me permission to feel all the things I've been trying to not deal with.

  8. It is so heartbreaking and emotional every time I listen. Actualy I prefer this vide that than with fan made cool video as it does not distract me and my emotions from the song.

Ps. I also listen it very rare as it is so personal and make me cry or very emotional. Also I feel a little guilty listening to it as it is very personal and it was played only on a funeral and it supposed to be only private (even if I think such beautiful music and emotions should not be lost).

  9. You really should listen again. Just for your self. Take a glass of wine (or five) and then bawl your eyes out. Pain is there for you to understand you are alive. Alive for those that love you. That's the important point. Alive for those that love me. Say that in your head. Alive for those that love me.

  10. Hi ashena, this is the song I wrote you about some time ago without mentioning its name. I knew you would get to it one way or another. Sad and so beautiful ….. (I have to say that when I heard it for the first time, the text seemed unfinished, too simple, that it is not a text in the style of Aurora, but then I realized how much time the composition between death and at the funeral at which she wanted to comfort the family with that song. Then I listened to it a few more times and it completely blew me away, I left it out of my playlist this is the last time I've heard it) Tears don't flow when listening to it he hasn't lost anyone, I've lost too many of them, so as beautiful as this song is (and it is without a doubt) it's always out of my play list, because Aurora can so easily touch even the most painful parts of ourselves.

  11. Thanks for showing the picture of your Grandma. She has such a kind face. I lost my dad 40 years ago and still am sad. My mom is 104 and physically healthy, and she doesn't remember who I am, but siting with her is a joy. Each of us are different and there is no formula to ease the grief. We will just deal with it in our own way and there is no time table.

  12. Thank you for being real and for being you. I am sorry for your loss and I totally know how you feel. I miss my grandmother every day and anniversary of her death is a week from today, it’s been 13 years. I believe things happen for a reason, you reacting to this song the same day. I am sure you would have realized what day it was and thought of her, but this year it’s different because you have us 💕

  13. Great reaction. It reminds me of my Auntie. Very Christian woman. She was my favorite soul in my life. I love this song, but it is too much. I have never been able to get through 1 play through. Too heavy. Thank you Ashlena.

  15. I don't know if you knew but by doing some research I discovered not only that Magnus returned to support her as a producer for this album, but he also collaborated with ANE BRUN in the production! I can't even imagine what it meant for her to collaborate with her favorite artist! I think he will surprise us with this album, I can't wait
