US Studies Centre Foreign Policy and Defence Director Professor Peter Dean says the AUKUS agreement is the type of deal Donald Trump wants.
“If you look at the way that the AUKUS deal is structured, if a Trump administration did come into power in November after the US election in the following year, I think they’d be very affirmative,” he told Sky News Australia.
“This is the type of deal that Trump wants.”
