  1. I’m so impressed Michael. You speak Hawaiian! The names of the cities and regions just roll right off the tongue. Gotta get Guy Hagi up to this level of forecast. As a guy living on the Big Island, Northeastern side who now knows that he can expect up to a foot of rain , thank you 🙏. Great advice too. Hey. Hawaiian Electric. Turn it off leeward side.

  2. My parents from Kauai are here in WA while the storm approaches Hawaii, their home should be ok considering it’s up high above sea level and it survived hurricanes Iwa(1982) and Iniki(1992). 👀🤙🏽🏝️

  4. the only thing that actually happened from this is that they cancelled a guided hiking tour on the big island. for the rest of us its just business as normal. we live here, you really think were not always ready for a hurricane? we usually just wave as it goes by.

  6. Iniki passed directly over Kauai and left us without municipal power or water for four months. My house was fine but many many others were not. I hope domestic building standards have been upgraded since. Hang in there Hawaii.

  7. Right on Robert! Much Mahalos my friend. We've tied small children, animals & lanai furniture down so they don't get blown away. The rain will be a blessing as it's needed, just not all at once. Keep up the great reports, very awesome. Much Mahalos from Makawao my brudda🤙🌈🏝️

  8. I live in Hilo. Early morning wind and rain. The Kona winds blew the rain into my bathroom and kitchen. Forgot to drop the windows down before I went to sleep. Not currently raining but wind is getting stronger.
