"LEADERSHIP IS PROVIDING SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS FACING A PEOPLE.
Leadership is not a show of myth, a good leader is the chief servant to a people. A good leader must be firm, decisive and proactive in his decisions and actions. These are the qaulities that standout Sen Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze FNSE, FNATE a unique, outstanding and an ingenious leader per excellence, who has conspicuously distinguished himself an uncommon exemplary leader in all positions God brought to him.
At a time Onueke was Afghanistan and Gaza combined, God brought Sen Engr Kenneth Eze to restore peace and heal the land as the local government chairman of Ezza South. On assumption of office, he profiled the situation and the principal actors to understand how best to handle the situation and the actors according to their individual strengths and philosophy.
He employed all available options according to the individual differences of the people fingered to be actors and accomplices of the mayhem that enveloped Onueke town and neighbouring communities which Oriuzor is among. A fact that must not be adulterated is that there is no security unrest at Onueke without cultists from Oriuzor not being the principal actors.
It's good to have a proper education, for one to be well armed with every knowledge needed to swim through the turbulent river of leadership and come out undrowned.
Ken as the Local Government Chairman used the carrot and stick method of conflict resolution and tackling insecurity to restore peace to Onueke town and neighbouring communities which Oriuzor is among.
With his diligent profiling of the actors, he grouped and treated them according to each group's disposition towards peace.
Those who were ready to embrace peace were called for a cease-fire and to embrace peace,
those who would repent in police cells and prisons were sent there to reset their thinking to return to normalcy. Those who were not ready to back down were declared persona non granta not just within Onueke and its environs,
but Ezza land at wherever it reached. Within a month the dead town of Onueke and residents started breathing a fresh air of freedom, peace and security.
It didn't come from bragging and boasting, it was as a result of proper planning and humility in service by engaging whoever he knew was ready to be of help to bring an enduring peace to the land of Ezza Ezekuna which Onueke is the headquarters. That's leadership and a leader all should emulate.
As a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he identified that the problem of our people is our longstanding unfavourable disposition to embrace government, this he has made his priority project to ensure that our people find their feet sitting in our deserved position in the political affairs of Ebonyi state. Like his efforts to bring peace to Onueke, the microcosm of the macro Ezza Nation,
his efforts to persuade and educate our people on the need to embrace government and the government of His Excellency Rt Hon Bldr Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru in particular is a selfless voyage of a patriotic son determined to bring laurels of love, peace and unity to the fatherland which are the panacea for prosperity, progress and development of any land.
He was not called the Unity Chairman for nothing, it was earned and deserved, today he's the Unity Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone, working hard and tirelessly for the unity of our land and people.
The leadership qaulities and records of Sen Engr Kenneth Emeka Eze should be studied and implemented by those holding government offices back home to meet the expectation of their employer and that of the people.
