Attack committed by a group of Muslims in Birmingham caused by 'tension' of the riots | Ayoub Khan

“You can see why it’s being played out in the way it has…you see the stoking up of tension, the bigotry, the racism, the Islamophobic attitude.”

A group of Muslims attacking a local pub in Birmingham was just a “natural reaction” to all the far-right disorder, says Independent MP Ayoub Khan.

  1. “A group of Muslim men went out to either confront or defend…” You know full well they are arming themselves with machetes and other weapons and going out hunting for people, but you still insert "defend themselves" in there. You’re a fkn disgrace!

  2. Time Radio at it again, normalising violence and stoking the flames of division. Violence is NOT acceptable by either 'side' or anyone – I parenthesise the word 'side' because really what is happening is the division of people i.e creating 'sides', to create conflict to create the arguments for tighter controls, more censorship, more surveillance etc etc. Rather than look into the actual reasons for this unrest and where they stem from, you practice what I call 'lazy journalism' – actually 'extremely lazy journalism' and just focus on Far Right etc. You're a disgrace to the very notion of impartial, investigative reporting. You're just a propaganda arm of the increasingly wannabe-authoritarian government. You should be ashamed of yourselves but of course you won't be. If you have any hint of self-awareness or consciousness, you would stop to dig into this story and, who knows,…maybe win a Pulitzer. I won't hold my breath though.

  3. They shouldnt hit the police as police are doing their job and instructed by the gov. So why anyone in right mind would hit the police? They are like us and have their families and children and just doing their job I feel sorry fir the police really. God help everyone who is doing the right thing abd keep them safe.

  5. What about the minority in the "far right" crowd throwing rocks stones and bricks is that also disappointing or is that just because they're all racist nazi's? The UK can see straight through your two tier reporting and policing and you're going to cause so much more chaos and destruction you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
