This is the Gameplay Walkthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 (2023). This guide will show you the encounter with Monster Hunter ‘Gandrel’ who is looking for the Vampire Astarion. This video will show you all the dialogue choices / options and their outcomes.
Gandrel is an NPC and Merchant in Baldur’s Gate 3. Gandrel can be found near Auntie Ethel’s house, in the Sunlit Wetlands. Gandrel is a Gur, a monster hunter that is looking for Astarion. Apparently, someone in Baldur’s Gate, wants Astarion back alive. Players can decide to leave him be in his search for Astarion, or even reveal Astarion if he is in your party. Note that if players don’t reveal Astarion during this conversation, you won’t be able to do it later on. Players can trade with Gandrel: he sells Arrow of Fire, Arrow of Acid, Potion of Healing and, obviously, Garlic.

Is it worth getting rid of Astarion.. I kind of do not like him.
Hard decicion tbh. I don't like him (he's annoying af) but i also feel sorry for him being a slave (but does it have to be my problem?). Probably missing out on his storyline if you get rid of him
Is there a way to dress like him? I kinda like his style, and he doesn’t seem to drop his exact armor.
kinda disappointed with this storyline. I'm on a paladin playthrough and I have already driven a stake through Astarion's heart back at the camp. I told the vampire hunter that I have already disposed of him, and gave him directions to my camp. Nothing ever came of it…. feels like a really shallow shallow story if that is how it ends. The mighty vampire, scourge of the night, felled like a feeble hollow tree never to rise again??? pathetic.
That's what kinda irks me about this game, in story there are immense powers, and even more dangerous figures that wield them, and yet…. a random adventurer kicks their ass with no problem what so ever.
Or in this case, the vile dangerous vampire that terrorizes towns and villages knocked out by a single punch even after he was fully aware of the danger that stood in front of him, the vampire hunter…. I love the game, but small things like this I just can't stand… either remove it all together or fix it, makes no actual sense. It's simply too shallow.
This isn't all of the options! Maybe because I haven't killed the hag yet..? I cant find a good guide for the dialogue i ended up with
You will miss out on a huge subplot if you allow Astarion become captured …
Even if you don't like him, just temporarily swap him into the party when he's directly relevant to what's happening. Then, you can switch back to your main roster.
