Assetto Corsa Evo | AC Evo – 5 Good, 5 Bad! More early THOUGHTS!

It’s Assetto Corsa Evo!

In the first ever video of this type for me (so please forgive the mistakes) I look at 5 things I dislike and 5 things I like about the Early Access version.

I try to inject a bit of my personality into my videos and I hope it’s coming across more all the time.

Thank you for watching.

  1. 5:55 you have to remember , that many people have different eyes , and they want this game to looks like forza horizon , or need for speed if you know what I mean ;].
Ps.Volumetric clouds , night race with rain , lighting , and car model look amazing. For sure this will be a true next gen game , we all been waiting for.

  2. I bought evo, but I still think ffb in ams2 is better, I feel all the grip in long corners, I feel exactly what the car is doing, just like a gtr3 driver, the fast cars have too much grip, that's why I don't like lmu. If you accelerate too early in ams2 when exiting a corner, the car breaks out. Evo is fine, also quite good in vr. It's going to be put on hold for now, I'll try again after updates. For now ams2 no. 1 ffb is a bit more refined. I hardly play lmu anymore.

  3. VR user here. It is what it is. If you're used to PCVR then you're used to tinkering and things not working well. Considering this is EARLY ACCESS I'm perfectly ok with where it's at now. A lot of angry children on Reddit didn't read the T&C's!

  4. My friend, it's just brilliant to hear you are so excited about EVO release and I'm absolutely on the same page as yourself!
It's been a long time coming hasn't it? Finally we can look forward to, I'm sure, great things in the near future.
The physics are just sublime, a massive improvement, I feel more in touch with the tracks and how the cars feel.
I could go on and on, just wanted to say thank you for all your content, even though it leaves me green with envy drooling over your amazing Rig. One can only dream.
Looking forward to seeing more from you getting to grips with Assetto Corsa Evo
    All the best

  5. Despite all the hype, ACE was always going to be a better handling GT7/Forza rather than a true sim. The money is in the online DLC, micro transactions, etc. The moment they said mods were going to be limited to pre-approved mods, it screamed "We want a cut of the money!". The need to be online is so you can spend cash/credits to upgrade cars, liveries, all the typical money grab stuff. Plus, I seriously doubt they can optimize those shiny graphics to run the high FPS needed for serious online play on anything other than 40 & 50 series cards. That eliminates a large portion of the potential player base.

  6. Glad you got around to giving Bathurst a go, it would be one of the best Touring car tracks in the world & public roads the rest of the time.. But I am bias being from Australia & driven around the track

  7. I think a "little bit better than RaceRoom" is absolutely accurate! That is the recent updates to RaceRoom, which does look better. So it's a bit better than that.

ACE graphics are not "magnificent" at all. I don't think I've heard anyone make that lofty claim yet. Cars and tracks nice, but everything else hardly better than AMS. Most commentators are saying it's pretty good, but by no means amazing. FPS at ultra on anything but highest end machines really struggles, hopefully to be fixed. I run a 3090Super and can run it on mostly max settings, but in no way whatsoever would I ever claim the graphics are "magnificent".Β

VR is a total S*****S. But I assume that'll get better.

Physics are brilliant. FFB is good. Most real life GT racers who've posted about Evo says its pretty realistic on the GT2 or Ferrari Cup.

  8. This gets repeated so often, and it is simply not true, GT7 does not require micro transactions to obtain anything, IF you don't want to play the game and earn things, which is absurdly easy, you can of use the MT option

  9. There are so many people that are spoiled in PC gaming. They want everything for next to nothing or free and want everything to be 100% what they declare is perfection. I think these people complaining get chewed out at work constantly and pass that attitude on to these sim developers. Sales number show that they've always created greate products that people want and they extreme complainers are just the loud minority.

Until the end of the year when they finish early access, we can expect to see it improve. I'm hoping they really take advantage of ray-tracing and DLSS to push the already great graphics even further.

  10. 1st the music, I thought I missclicked πŸ™‚
2nd AI is exactly where it should be, simulating open lobbies perfectly πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
3rd u can move ui arround just with a mouse
4th agree, this is the best feeling sim out there. It feels like the cars actually have tires and the tires are acctually rolling on tarmac
5th keep up the great workπŸ‘

  11. I play in triple screen, and graphics are bad. But looks like triple screen is broken. The only graphic options that works are mirrors. Then also the cinematic antialasing changes something, but not for good. Dlss is missing and fsr can't be used.
Simply triples doesn't works yet, and basically make the graphics looks terrible a part of the fsr tank (I have a 4080, not the best but not low profile)

  12. Im a VR user and I havent been let down. It is playable in early access and thats way more than I was expecting. And they have told right away that it is a part of their roadmap plat to fix it and make it better so im definitely not let down im waiting eagerly.

  13. Fully agree with you Rev. The graphics are easily the best of any racing sim bar GT7. The folks complaining clearly need their eyes checked or are playing on lower settings.

Also congrats on 2k. On to 10k!

  14. Great content as usual! I agree about the FFB/feel, t's pretty darn good in AC Evo though of course I'm sure someone somewhere will say it's not as good as RF2 because a 'real' driver said RF2 is the best ever πŸ™‚ I'm with you on the load times, LMU is absurd. Keep up the good work sir!

  15. The impression that I got, from playing this sim and from what I herad in reviews,is that the force feedback is amazing with direct drive wheels but very weak with the rest of systems. I have a logitech g923 and AC/ACC/AMS2 feels much better than ACE right now.

  17. I think ACC graphics look a lot better at the moment. When ACC is graphics is setup properly with RTX HDR instead of in game HDR. The only thing I really like about EVO so far is the physics and FFB.
