Craig, Blabs, Super Giant Games could've picked ANYONE for this game, yet they chosen this woman in particular, who has a history of being toxic towards men. It's a fair red flag. This trailer is a lazy bait and switch. Or at best: it's boring!
The focus on 8020 is too narrow.
Stop acting games as if the final release is the only thing important. Doing so speaks nothing of the will of the developers and the fact that the developers had the thought that the best representation for their game as a black woman.
Choosing a black woman to be the protagonist is a willful choice. Choosing this actress, specifically, is also a willful choice. Choosing an actress over random people makes this a fairly expensive, willful choice as well. This costly signal means choosing a black woman to be the protagonist suggests that to the minds of the company that it is really important to choose her over literally any other combination of phenotypes.
This is a portent. Unless you are as capable of describing the process as I have, wait until there are more obvious markers of it being of ideological creation.
This focus on the final release and the product as if the product being made is somehow removed from the people making it is why Gamergate failed originally and why this more recent spat will fail again.

It's people. It's a narrow substraight of people. And you're all putting your hopes for the future into the hands of this narrow substraight who are increasingly growing to hate you.
Gamergate will fail because consumer uprisings like it will only change the minds of people who do not care about having their minds changed. A significant bulk of the current people behind the making of games are not willing to change their mind. They think you are evil for not thinking the same as they do. This means it is an inevitable race to the bottom to see if the gaming industry runs out of normies willing to buy their shlack, or the gamers to become defeatist and demoralized and stop advocating for change in the artistic pursuit of the people in the industry.
The best tactic for maintaining the hobby we love. For maintaining the relationship between developers and gamers. For seeing a florishing industry. Is to do the same thing they have done, but in reverse.
Slowly take back control over the industry. Make new game companies and start up. Focus creative freedom, integrity, and delivering the best possible experiences for the people. Become competent enough that our advantage is undeniable.
The best plan is simple. We replace the industry.
Razor is wrong. Vinyl > CD. The sound is more rich and not as tinny as digital.

The 'muffled' sound on casettes Razor mentions is probably compression; it makes stuff sound louder overall, by reducing dynamic range. Vinyl has extremely high dynamic range. Metal, specifically older metal, tended to be heavily compressed so as to sound as loud as possible.

Ubisoft isn't changing anything about the game. That's not how game development works. It's impossible to do in 3 months.
If they were to fix the historically accurate thing, they'd be limited to slight alterations of buildings, and some stuff like that. It might not even show up in the day one patch either. The "Gold Master" and the day one patch have been locked down and certified ages ago, which costs a lot.
I've never heard of things being un-certified, so nothing about the story of the game is changing or anything like that. Even if they managed to do it, they'd have to get a whole lot of people back. Writers and voices actors to name a two. Assuming they are available and willing to work on the project again. Even if everything works out perfectly, it's not something that can be accomplished in 3 months.
EDIT: "Disbanded" means the team was killed and the people on the team were assigned to other projects.

I have a handful of digital games mostly due to it being hard to find that particular title in physical media, but i have always tried to buy physical games and dvds as well for the most part. I have said for years people are really going to regret the death of physical media.
BandaiNamco Europe published the Unknown NEIN game. It was originally planned to be an indy game but the (then) new Québec studio Reflector ran out of money and needed a regular publisher and convinced the Western branch of BandaiNamco.
At this point, this newest Supermassive Games' release looks like a lazy virtue signaling, as in simply replacing a previous main character – perhaps male white, perhaps not – with the top of the Victimhood Scale, the Ugly Black Woman. The teaser reveals nearly nothing of the game except it's a worn out idea of space horror, complete with isolation and malfunctions, but this time with dopplegangers. It can be well developed technically, but it won't be a breakthrough as far as I can see. Another "meh" narrative.
They are not upset about the poster. They just smell a very small change to get some dollars. So why not kick the musk tree, and see if some dollars fall out

No tolerance for the nonsense in games. No "wait and see." If you get the bait and switch multiple times and continue to give these people money, you're not smart. This is far from the first time where they've tried to have a "normal" game and then thrown nonsense in as you get more than an hour or two in. Same thing happens with movies and TV.

There were Netflix versions of the GTA Definitive Edition games.
So Directive 8020 can have a near 1 to 1 recreation of the actual actress in the game but all other games have to mess with the looks of them (star wars outlaws, Spiderman 2, Fable)
