In today’s Daily Fix:
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been hit with another setback. Ubisoft has announced a new release date of March 20, 2025, roughly a month later than the previous release date of February 14, which itself was delayed from the original release date of November 12, 2024. Ubisoft explained that this was to give the game more time for polish and to implement feedback from the past three months. In other news, Nintendo has announced a new handheld: a LEGO Gameboy. Sorry, it’s not the Switch 2 announcement you were looking for, but could be a cool item for collectors.
Presented by Goosebumps: The Vanishing – Streaming tomorrow on Disney+ & on Hulu until 4/9/25!

On sale in 3 months
Ubisoft just copied and pasted Weird Al's "Mission Statement" lyrics for that press release. 😂😂😂
This game is a mess…
March 20, 1995 – Aum Shinrikyo members used Sarin gas to poison the populace of Japan.
March 20, 2025 – New release date of Ass. Creed – Hiphop Shadows. 30th anniversary of Sarin gas attack
At least they're listening to feedback unlike Bioware with Veilguard.
I suupose it's better than not delaying it, I'm just worried what kind of state Shadows was in if it was meant to release November.
The ac fans are outright crazy. They were all in support of Valhalla which was a full blown bloated rpg than that had anything to do with stealth or assassins. But now when they try to add in good parkour and stealth with assassination mechanics they are bashing it.
Ubisoft trying to create a Battle Pass before it releases.
Put some respect on ubisoft name. They go hard. I still pre order this shit NEED.
This game is dead on arrival
I hate that the first thought I had about this was how grifters will milk this to exploit the ignorant anger of tribalistic & toxic "alpha" males.
You forgot To Mention Bleach Rebirth Of Souls 3/21/25 💀 That Is, A Very Popular Anime Game Coming Out.
Good
Polish is always a good thing. The most recent gameplay looks much more refined and better than before. Too many rush games out to meet demands and patch them after the fact. These are games that went through numerous delays and turned out great anyway: The Last of Us, Space Marine 2, Breath of the Wild, Team Fortress 2, Alan Wake, Mafia II, LA Noire, Resident Evil 4, and numerous others. Assassin's Creed Shadows is going to benefit from this. Mark my words.
Removing yasuke is the only way out now for ubisoft.
So long as they improve the parkour animations. They look absolutely terrible.
"Blah, blah….we know everyone is gonna sh*t on this game so we need more time to get our damage control ready."
Jesus. My cat could run Ubisoft better than this.
They pushed it back when I left them a message telling them bad idea to release it on February 14th the same day a tomb raider remastered tomb raider would win
AC shadows getting that skull and bones treatment😂
It's good that they're postponing it again (but not too much anyway), if the teams need these few extra weeks it's for the good of the game AND the players. Better for it to be delayed than buggy to the bone. What Marc-Alexis Côté says is very encouraging, Ubisoft is listening to feedback and it's a very nice step forward. Journalists and influencers will be able to play Shadows next week, this is very good news and it will give Ubisoft time to improve (without crunch), so this delay is good news and it's a good strategy in the end
As long as ubi cooks n learns from other studios who've taken they're formula n improved it 😏 take your time
They should cancel and try again. This whole game was a mistake.
they prolly forgot to add an indian samurai to the game so they need that extra month for that
Can I play as a Japanese man?
CHECKS THE FUCK OUT LETS GOOO
maybe the extra month will give them the chance to put the actual game on the disc this time. i know multiplayer/live service games update so much so you end up with a boot disc but single player games should be playable from straight off the disc
Why Ubisoft stopped developing good games similar to old Assassin's Creed games, Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed Revelations, Asaassin's Creed III, and Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag? These games were so much fun
Anyone else, actually looking forward to this game? 🙋🏻♂️🤣😁
Wat fuck! Goto hell ubiusoft
Congratulation to those who pre-ordered
In summary: they want to boost 2025 FY revenue
1:06–1:45 why isn’t anybody talking about who wrote that horrible press release.
A Black person as the protagonist in a game set against a Japanese historical background? Yasuke isn't even portrayed as a samurai in history but in Thomas Lockley's fairytale, who disappeared after it was discovered he wrote false interpretations about Yasuke. The game is full of misinterpretations and mockery of Japanese culture, which certainly makes it look so 'promising'. Make sure they know who are their TARGET AUDIENCE, those bunch of creeps wont even buy this game.
Still have a weird feeling the game wont be that bad and might be fun
Version sekiro off🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Engaging Day -1 experiences – This is what we are calling non-broken games now.
At least they’re pushing it back to get it right rather than putting out out half assed and then everyone complains that it’s an unfinished game
The only reason I care about this game is because I think it is going to be the final nail in the coffin. Then all those ips might end up in the hands of greatness.
stupid correct game
Hand to God I thought this already came out lol
next delayed is gta 6 at 2026? idk 😑
Total B.S. It’s Not About The Game Or The Players Only Care About STALEHOLDERS AND THAT’S WHY THEY’RE In Trouble NOW!😑😒
Let’s go Ghost of Yotei. Who else agrees with this?
