Devs said ages ago there's no such thing as overpowered or cheese in their games. There are tools at your disposal and how you use them is up to you.
The moon veil katana is also extremely op, so is the sword of night and flame. It just is what it is.
The biggest concern is how awful the PC performance is, the constant stutter is miserable
Hey ScottJund does a pretty good job explaining the base damage of the game compared to other FromSoft games, really shows how everything has been tuned up and why people can do so much damage with practically anything.
Lol on my second play through using bleed and whatever the fire 🔥 spell is called you can kill these bosses in 30 seconds or less…there are some pretty bad “bug” that can make this game easy mode for anyone who doesn’t want to do a legit first play through

The souls community, much like many others, has always been garbage, don't listen to them. Just play how you want.
I'm not going to watch the video because I'm tired of seeing negativity but I'll comment anyway. I seem to have explored too much and I'm getting to the snow area with a +10 Moonveil and +23 Uchigatana. I obliterate bosses with the Moonveil Weapon Art and summoning Mimic Tear usually trivializes everything. That said, if it's overpowered, who cares? I stopped summoning and started dual-wielding my swords again instead of spamming the Moonveil WA. You can make your own difficulty and you shouldn't care about what others are doing. I played the OG Demon's Souls with a Regen build, so I was a shitter and I always will be a shitter.
Since the game release, I keep seeing the "OP" label on everything that does very good dmg damage."You have a good thought out build and you do good damage on a boss!? You're not a real gamer if you don'tp lay naked with a shit sword and only dodge roll. Git gud." gimme a break. Just enjoy the game the way you want…

The more broken part of his build is his insane HP stat that lets him survive attack you're not supposed to survive. lol. But I don't care. Souls games are about doing what you want, and don't let anyone else tell you different. You could successfully complete the game with a +25 torch if you wanted.
So that means that a broadsword is op in the past entries? Cause you can totally beat the game with those weapons too, fuck even a long sword will do.

It's an alright weapon, people are just shit at making builds it seems, to percieve it as OP. Thats on them, you do you, use what you want and play how you want. Best to ignore those insufferable idiots.
Everything is going to look "overpowered" in the hands of somebody that knows what they're doing. I've seen people call parrying overpowered. At the end of the day what matters is enjoying the game and having that sense of accomplishment and fun. Some only feel accomplished after suffering, others by overcoming an obstacle by any means, and still others by just getting from point A to point B. Just have fun.
The Halberd that you get from Tree Sentinel is actually quite mediocre, it's probably not even one of the top 15 weapons in the game. If anything the real destroyer is bleed weapons, if you dual-wield bleed you can pretty much stagger some bosses in 2-3 hits.
If you are using a build that has an easier time then i did you are literally cheating – some dude who got rekt in a souls game

Well, the Golden Halberd may be overpowered, but you still have to know how to use it and since it leaves you wide open while attacking, I think it’s fair for how strong it is fully leveled up. Plus there are bosses who are strong against holy and slash damage so in those instances it’s not really that good of a choice compared to something else. But at the end of the day, a weapon is as good as the warrior wielding it.
Dude, you beat bosses in like 13 hits. If you WANT to beat bosses in 13 hits, go right ahead. It's the bragging after doing so that annoys people. Play how you want, but don't pretend to be some bigshot because you minmaxed.

I am powerstancing claymore and lordsworn, it absolutely destroy Godrick too. Any weapon is viable in this game. Don't listen to the whining, play the game how you wanna play.

The Golden Halberd isn't overpowered. But it is a paladin weapon.

Why in the living fck was this suggested to me? Yeah I did waste 5 minutes of my life and didn't get the "complaint". If this was sarcastic entertainment, congrats you nailed it. To everyone else, play with whatever weapon you want and take advantage of whatever you want to beat the game how you want.
Yes, you are not playing it the right way if you don’t go no shield, no weapon, no dodging, blindfolded, computer unplugged etc.
The halberd is a great weapon but very few people I see using it in invasions so far. It has amazing range and lightining fast running r1, its so fast even katanas have trouple handling it. The weapon is one of the best in the entire game, but there is so much harry potter and dex weebs using katanas its lost in the mist. So far I have been unable to switch into other weapons because it offers both pretty much total melee superiority and mobility along side range, if anything its only downide is not being able to use ashes on it….. unless you check the nights cavalry halberd, now that is the true op weapon.
