  1. The cognitive dissonance is strong because of tribalism. It’s simple psychology. Some MPs lie to themselves because they can’t shit on their party/peers and the rest are just corrupt or morally bankrupt.. broken model – for running a society/economy.

  2. "Last year was the best year for the pound since 2020"………

The fact that he stood there and actually said that says a lot about how these people operate, and what disdain they have for the public.

  3. The best of them all was the man who said "It's all hyperbole". The rhetoric: "The pound shot up again", should be "The pound recovered a bit" he did not say that the stability has to do with the raising of interest rates, normally the value should be higher. 2nd best growth in the G7, so why are their problems in the UK.?
One can only tackle problems successsfully if one realizes there are some.

  4. Two years and counting. But Labour are running so far to the middle (which is now to the right of where it was in 1950), that little to nothing will change for UK citizens.

  5. 4:22 WRONG, 3rd lowest debt in the G7 and most of the debt is at a higher interest than G7 peers
The pound has declined 12% in the past month and a 5% gain suggests that it has "shot up"
    Tories are LIARS

  6. They aren't helping with the energy crisis – they didn't build enough nuclear. We are now reaping what was sowed – so not a lot. I do wish the public would cease with their deference to leadership of this paltry calibre. But also, sadly, it's we the people that let this happen.

  7. Energy bills are not being reduced – they are being deferred! We will still have to pay, just with added interest.

But that’s OK, because the energy companies get to keep all those windfall profits!

  8. "We all make mistakes, you need to give people a chance"

Why do I have this suspicion that had Keir Starmer done this in his first week she would have had a decidedly different opinion and tone?

  9. As of 08/10/2022 14:14PM BST the Dollar is worth $1.11 against the pound so I have no idea what that Tory is talking about the pound shooting up. Maybe he's shooting up, but the pound ain't. Just more Tory denial.

  10. What I hate about politics in general (not just the conservatives) is that their responses are always about what’s best for the optics of the party or the leader. The people they’re supposed to be serving are just inconveniences and bad poll numbers. They completely forget that any time they drop the ball, we suffer far more than they ever could

  11. When the first decision costs the Bank of England 65b GBP she was obviously not fit for the job. The Markets are not finished with their attack on the Pound. Reversing the 45p decision did not appease the Markets it was the BoE that bought them off temporarily. The UK needs to rejoin the single market asap or else face a very bleak future.
