  1. Hope all the hard working posties get what they deserve a good pay rise and the terms and conditions preserved. A iconic company like Royal Mail needs protecting as it is an essential service during the pandemic them postmen and woman work throughout keeping the country connected.

  2. Funny how it's the older generation of postmen that are striking… they still think it's the 90's where they delivered a few letters and were home by lunch time… Internet shopping has changed that.

  3. Things have to reach breaking point to go on strike.. they’re losing their wages too. Rather than point the blame at hard working people, it’s time to look at the 0.0001% at the top who never suffer any consequences. We all suffer but profits stay the same. Time for a general strike 🪧

  4. Working people will have to make up their mind , A vote for the conservatives who stand for million pound a year jobs for chief executives and thousands of pounds for shareholders in dividends and for privatisation of the NHS. 12 years of this Tory government has crippled this country.

  5. Who owns Royal Mail? Now that it’s privatised, Royal Mail is owned by private investors. Daniel Křetínský, a Czech billionaire, has the biggest share – 25% of the company is controlled by his Vesa Equity Investment group. 😡

  6. Investors in the Royal Mail are entitled to dividends on their investments. People who are not privileged to have final salary pension schemes like public sector type schemes need investments to provide their pensions. The CWU is trying to prevent modernisation based on making the Royal Mail sustainable as an employer and business.

  7. All of these news outlets are on the side of the rich millionaires/billionaires, and not on the side of the working people that are their own viewership! Boycott the news.

  8. Privatisations have destroyed many services in our country, including rail and water industries. Now its the turn of the Postal Service to be asset stripped by dodgy investors and Private Equity Funds. These union leaders deserve a medal for standing up to the fat cats.

  9. Looking at the American,German vans delivering parcels everyday in my street……it’s a bit late to say the Unions are damaging the Post Office.Nor was it the Unions that put innocent people in prison….the Post Office scandal was due to lies and corruption of management.

  10. We are seeing union reps on all these news channels representing their members but where's their opposition to explain the reasons these reasonable demands are not being met by the private companies who are hijacking the public sector and holding the public services to ransom to protect their profit margins.

  11. I haven't used a Royal Mail service for years. I use email rather than sending letters, I bank online and I use parcel services like DPD. The only post I still get is junk and tax bills.

  12. Close down the Royal mail and use deutsche post. Unions hate change and the pay offer is fantastic if they are loosing a million per day how do they think they are going to pay more than 9% in pay rises.

  13. CEO Simon Thompson was involved in Debenhams demise and Powell pharmaceuticals. Also involved in the diabolical track and trace app that was useless and cost the tax payer millions. He needs to go asap. Government will never step in, when royal mail was sold it was undervalued by millions. A lot of people got very rich very quickly when it was privatised. They now want to asset strip it and the royal mail as we know it will cease to exist.

  14. This dispute has nothing to do with me yet my business is failing massively due to suppliers using parcel force under contract. Thanks for ruining the busiest time of the year. Haven’t businesses suffered enough?
