Finding the right MMO is always a difficult task. The genre is overrun by mediocre trash that tries to dress itself up nicely to give off the illusion it’s a passable game.
Netmarble and Blizzard are two of the largest culprits this year, releasing Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds and Diablo Immortal respectively.
The worst part of all this is that neither game is actually bad at their core. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is gorgeous, fun, and filled with personality. And Diablo Immortal.. is a Diablo game.
These are fun MMOs with a lot of potential – that have been ruined by greed.

Which leads me to today.
Netmarble’s CEO has announced that they are going to be showcasing 4 new games at G-Star 2022.
The Solo Leveling Anime RPG – that is going to be the equivalent to PSO2 or SoulWorker. And honestly looks absolutely incredible from the trailer footage.
Arthdal Chronicles – a gorgeous new seamless open-world MMORPG that is part of a much larger intellectual property, featuring TV series, movies and more planned to take the IP further than any property they currently possess.
Paragon: The Overprime, a third-person shooter with a focus on 5v5 player vs player combat, and Hype Squad, another PC Battle Royale. I swear Korea hasn’t realized yet that the Battle Royale era has already passed. When was the last time we saw a new successful Battle Royale? Or, more specifically, one from Korea?

  11. Its always interesting to play a MMORPG based on or within a TV Series or Movie. I just hope it will deliever. I also found Defiance pretty interesting back than with the idea of combining the TV Series with the MMORPG Game. Sadly it was pretty dead in the end. The SyFy series even faster.

  12. I remember trying to watch Arthandal and it felt much larger in scope with just the first EP. My issue was there was a lot going on and you didn't understand why. Maybe I'll try to get back into it

  13. The show is really good, so I'll be lying if I said I'm not looking forward to this, but at the same time… MMOs these days are a at best a "Meh" and at worste a "complete fucking shit show ruined by corprate fuck sticks who just want a quick buck" so…

  15. I don't want much , just a big open world game with many thousands of players … but without raids and big world bosses . A game that you can play alone or with friends too.

  16. Выглядит очень хорошо , давно не было в мире нормальных ММО надеюсь корейцы выпустят вот это в глобал. Ааа так она мобильная … Netmarble 🤔 , ну не знаю мхм~ Я буду ждать 12 числа TRAHA (moai+nexon) надеюсь они выпустят игру где не нужно платить чтобы поиграть , я готов заплатить за игру один раз если она выходит изначально платная , но не так.   20. The mobile game era really influenced lot of mmorpgs and its really disappointing that game most of companies now releasing only p2w games. I miss those days that you pay monthly subscription for a good quality games that no p2w or less p2w. lot of korean streamers saying competive pvp games are true core and culture of korean games but it leads to heavily p2w. Most of korean streamers are streaming thousands of dollar gacha pulls only and happy over some rip off graphic piece….
