  1. Hey Charles, Have you picked up many tactical changes Arteta has done between last year and this year? In terms of player positioning or attacking build up, defending, holding the ball when needed.
How do you think Raya has impacted the team? Do you see what Arteta sees in him or would you like to have Ramsdale back as your number 1 option?

Unfortunately Arsenal games have been really late to watch so I havent had the chance to see how the team has adapted and changed this year (so far) (2.30am on a Monday)

  2. Loved the win and never try to be too negative given the result. But did Jesus drive anyone else nuts today… gave the ball away so easily. Surprises me to see his undying consistent support and how easily we attack Eddie.

  3. Good observation regarding Zinchenko. I’ve been concerned about his ball security especially for matches like this one, but he delivered, and proved this doubter (me) wrong.

  4. Buzzing after the win. Thought Raya was pretty bad, the back four were amazing, so it didn't matter. Subs were phenomenal. Havertz and Tomi were always in the right position and super physical, Partey was class, and Marinelli was electric.

  5. Odegaard gets an 8 for pressing while Nketiah gets a 5, yet was pressing all the time. Odegaard was poor with jorghino and rice making the midfield tick with pressing that actually forces an action from city and not running towards the player and stopping with 5ft of space still between you

  6. I disagree about the quality Charles. This was top top quality structure and off the ball play from both sides. We were both missing our key creators so it was always going to be cagey. This was like a final and it shows the margins now. Either team missing one too many player would result in enough of an imbalance to push the favour in the opposite direction.

  7. The linesmen, ref and Var need to be investigated. So many obviously bad decisions. Raya is calm and I think from his last action you could see what he brings, but he lost the ball way too many times for my liking. I think the starters ran the city players to the ground so much so that when the 4 subs came on they had more time on the ball which led to the goal.

  8. I cant help but not be completely convinced by Raya. (I know I'm saying this after a clean sheet) but I don't think he's been flawless – not sure if we have to wait for him to make a 'big' mistake before Ramsdale gets a run in the Prem again?

  9. David Raya followed up his mistake against RC Lens with another poor performance against City. His distribution was poor & he almost got caught with the ball at his feet more than once.

  10. Hi Charles,

I think Gabriel must be one of the most underrated players in world football.

Saliba gets a lot of credit (and rightly so)… but he has Ben White next to him!

Gabriel is performing like he is, next to Zinchenko who isn't in in defense most of the time.

Gabriel is a beast in both boxes, he is more composed on/off the ball and he is left footed. What a player!

  11. The moment North London Forever reverberated throughout the stadium, I genuinely felt this time it would be different. And different it was. Great performance, great atmosphere, great way to go into the break. And yes, William Saliba is world class!

  12. Raya was confident in possession? Eddie's 5 is generous, Havertz was way more effective as a 9, Eddie just isn't the answer (unless the question is who isn't good enough to start upfront). Good overall defensive performance, as you say the two CB's were immense, Id have given 10's.
