What’s up Samurai? Thanks for watching my video about Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon!
While I tried the older Armored Core games back in the day, they weren’t really my thing.. these games can be quite demanding in terms of difficulty and force you to change up your build and playstyle to fit the current threat. It’s not open world or an RPG though, so you’ll be grinding currency by repeating missions over and over in order to buy better parts for your mech.
This style of gameplay never appealed to me, and still doesn’t.. but I thought I would take a risk with Armored Core 6 since From Soft is implementing a lot of features from their recent games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls.
Is Armored Core 6 a souls-like? No, and it shouldn’t be compared to Elden Ring.
Still, I trust From Soft to deliver and am excited to try my first Armored Core game.

This was the first major challenge of Armored Core. While I'm loving the game, and it's very easy to die, I somehow managed to beat every challenge pretty quickly.. I was super pumped to unlock my tank legs, which let me put on some of the heaviest weapons other legs can't support, but oooooooh lawd.. when I got to the chapter 1 boss.

I've got timestamps for those of you who don't want to watch my pain and suffering, but the thing that is both amazing and daunting about this game is just how difficult or easy it can be based on your build.

Currently I can SHRED other AC's, but bosses require a more specific approach and I'm not one to look online for the "best build" when I can just do it myself.

I did manage to beat him, and when I did it gave me a level of excitement only From Soft is able to deliver.

While Armored Core 6 isn't going to be a super popular game on the channel, I'm hooked and will do my best to see it through to the end!
