  1. I used a dual trigger handgun and shotgun build with the gun swap perk. Carried me through a large portion of the game just shredding with pistols and swapping to shotguns every time they reload.
Eventually I just used dual shotguns with the pile bunker melee and that helped me in any 1 v 1 scenario for bosses and the like

  2. spring Chicken reverse joint legs have more Weight Capacity than Tetrapods, armor just short of the heavy Bipeds, low energy cost, and that sweet Reverse Joint mobility on the boost. You can get them after mission 8 and they are incredible, they stay relevant to the endgame
Melander armor is the best medium weight armor. I run a Biped build and it has the best armor AND boost speed combined over anything else I can buy, just after the C Worm appeared in chapter 3. It's available from the onset of the game. NOT the Melander C3, just regular Melander
Zimmerman shotgun has increased stagger compared to other weapons

  3. I've been running the Heavyarms build (twin miniguns, twin songbirds, medium weight) and it honestly feels like cheating sometimes. Same feeling as the OG Sword of Night and Flame, everything from trash to bosses just evaporates.

  4. I’ve been using melee weapons on my left shoulder and running akimbo with various guns and swapping for closer encounters when the opportunity appears. It’s been really useful

  5. Used the Hu-ben and songbirds all the way into NG++. Paired with the vvc-770 lb laser blade and the vvc-703pm plasma.missle I had an answer for almost any situation. The only upgrades made throughout the entire ++ run was Moonlight and the 706 pm.
Alternatively, I run a heavy tetrapod with dual songbirds and dual hu-ben for bosses.

Songbirds are easily the most busted weapons in the game.

  6. I have two builds both are medium sized ac
One is a heavy weapons melee build with energy weapons and a explosive cannon
The other is a fast machine gun/energy pistol build with a energy cannon and missiles I use that for arena battles and staggering enemies

  7. I recommend sticking with the starter melee weapon, it has a great dash range and you can chain it. Pair it up with an impact shot gun and shoulder missiles/cannons, and you can build stagger super fast all while at least one weapon with massive stagger bonus damage.

  8. ashmead is just good through the whole game tbh, the amount of direct hit damage a charged shot does can turn a fight around in a second, pair it with the Zimmerman and 2 laser shotguns on the shoulders and you got a close combat monster that will make short work of almost anything
