Warhammer 40k Arks of Omen is a new Games Workshop book series that promises to shake up the ever-evolving narrative of Warhammer 40k in 2023. It’ll introduce fresh plot developments, brand new main characters, and a whole new game mode for spaceship boarding. As we await the first Arks of Omen releases, here’s everything we know about the next big thing in 40k

Vashtorr, demigod of technology and creation formed from the inventive personality of life making new things in the same way that Khorne was created from war and spilling blood. In order to achieve his goals of godhood, Vashtorr shares some information with Abaddon about something related to the prophecy that will alter the course of the war and fundamentally change the Imperium of Man.

Abaddon and Vashtorr believe a rapid simultaneous strike at all the locations where artifacts are rumored to be hidden that will enable them to achieve their goals before the Imperium even realises what’s happening. In order to facilitate this Vashtorr creates the Arks of Omen.

The Arks of Omen are weaponised Space Hulks, imbued with daemonic power, armed with arcane and deadly weaponry and outfitted with a captive Warp Portal.

  1. I think that another thing Abaddon has over his papa is experience. Horus was an incredible military genius and had decades if not a handful of centuries of war in this scale, but the Horus Heresy itself lasted "only" 9 years. Now, as I said, Horus had plenty of experience with galactic warfare, but never in a scale quite like this, not against such a large and powerful enemy, with forces spread throughout the galaxy, acting in a cohesive manner.
What I am trying to say is that, possibly due to the nature of Chaos, the Heresy was very much rushed. There were very significant events that also crippled the Imperium, absolutely, pitting various primarchs against one another and the events in Ultramar and Signus are very good examples of it.
But none of those had as much of an impact as Abbadon's. And while we may laugh at him for being a "comedic loser" due to his previous crusades not achieving much, they still left scars, they whittled away the Imperium's forces over 10 thousand long years of conflict. Horus knew the Imperium as his home, and that gave him some advantages, but Abbadon knows the Imperium
as an old and tried foe, which, I believe, may bring him more advantages.

  4. Im loving vashtor! And the new codex coming out, I wouldn't be suprised to hear a new codex, a revampt if you will, of the spacerats. The space skavin. Coming up from the aethers being awoken to this smell of this new copper and piping and curious to know what there tech of poisons and plague would do under this new shiny shiny. Probably would catch the eye of nurgel id asume making him jealous from the stench of familiar oder once thought extinct that they would ask to borrow there metal.

  5. The idea of Vashtorr being honest makes a lot of sense tbh. He is the spirit of the machine and the inventor. He is not here to lie, he is here to make shit work. If he tells a lie, then his statement isn't functioning. If he's manipulating, then that's not a good machine that's complicated in use. He's pure and straight up.
