Andre 3000, known as one of the greatest rappers of all time, has dropped a flute album that initially received a lukewarm response. Vlad highlighted the early response to the album via a viral tweet that gathered 6 million impressions, showcasing Andre 3000’s low Spotify numbers. Despite the initial criticism, the album did collect a few million streams later on. However, Vlad suggested that many hip-hop fans were not embracing the flute album despite Andre 3000’s acceptance and adaptation to his age and the evolution of his art. Meanwhile, Andre 3000 maintains that he is making art in a way that feels authentic to him at this stage in his life.

  15. I so disagree with vald. Like Jay-Z says you want the old Jay but my old albums. The flute album was not created for ppl to ride around in the car with four 15 speakers in the back bumping or club music. The flute album is operating on a whole nother frequency that Vlad just ain't getting I love that album I love the artistry of it and mainly I love I'm going to do what I feel that's right to me not what others want me to do. Stop box people in and telling them how and what they should create create what feels good to you.

  32. Vlad keeps talking about "Are you bumping it?" like it was meant to be something you were supposed to bump. Its a flute album. You know damn well you ain't ever bumping a flute album even if you did like it.😂You went in expecting it to be a hip hop track where Andre is rapping on it while playing the flute. He already said he wasn't gone be doing that. You went and called up a hip hop icon to speak on a non hip hop album which makes zero sense. Not saying the DOC can't speak on it if he wants to, but him being the hip hop icon that he is, has nothing to do with Andre putting out a non hip hop album.

  37. This man is so full of his self now that he really thinks that Andre 3k album did numbers because of him….are you serious? It was gonna do what it did because of his fan base wanting to have some form of ART from the ARTist….period. Why are you so hurt? Why you tryna bash em? Because you dont have the courage to be true to yourself and not let the industry control every move you make? Its truely sad….we lack authenticity in todays times. And the one artist who tries to influence our culture to be more creative and innovative…he's bashed for setting the example 🙄

  45. Vlad it’s simply a basic jazz instrumental album relax. It’s what he’s on now, I don’t think he’s trying to drop “hits” he’s just doing whatever he wants. You’re saying he should only release the type of music he made over 10yrs ago?? Don’t change? That’s like telling Bo Jackson don’t play football because you’re already playing baseball smfh
