  1. I think that blood blending is a really good way to start to demonstrate consent to children. You can show children this episode and explain how it isn't ok to make people do things that they don't want to.

  2. There is a theory that because of Hama, Katara’s mom was killed. The fire nation didn’t want any other water bender (or the avatar) escaping and showing them up.

Also the water nation lady that was next to Hama (in the flashback was Katara’s grandma).

  3. I cry almost every time I watch this episode. And thanks to reaction channels I've seen it like 20 times.
There are 3 episodes that always make me cry. The next one is only a few eps away.

  4. i don't get it why people get so sad about flowers which don't have emotions, desires and understanding of their surrounding like we and animals do . Flowers ,plants and trees don't have conscience . It's not like she distrubed the cycle of life and death as the flowers will decompose and then something else will grow . But people ar5e totally alright with animals in factories being literally abused and killed so that humans can consume something they don't need.

  5. Everyone automatically goes to thinking Hama is Nini but Hama's waaaaaay too old considering Nini was supposedly their mother's friend. Hama is closer in age to Sokka and Katara's grandmother (Katara even makes that comparison).

  6. I just love this episode because it’s the first time we’ve seen an evil water bender we’d never had a water villain before this and now we’ve seen the possibility for great evil in each of the extant nations.

  7. I am SO glad this wasn’t spoiled for you, I remember combing the comments on the video where you mentioned blood bending just to make sure no one did any “hint hint, wink wink your question with be answered” kinda shit
