Argentina and Australia faced off in the knockout stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The first half was a slow one for both teams until Lionel Messi decided to shake things up. Messi scored in the 35th minute and gave Argentina a 1-0 lead in the first half. Argentina wasn’t done there, as Julián Álvarez added a goal of his own in the 57th minute. Australia would claw back as Craig Goodwin scored off a deflection. Australia had late chances but couldn’t score and Argentina would go on to win by the 2-1 final.

  2. no one notices, but I do, because I watch every thing. this game was totally unfair. it was Argentina all the way, but that is because they had a stadium packed to the max full of argentinian fans. you can see it in the video aerial view shots, the camera panning from one side to the other and all that you see is white and light blue colors, fans going crazy for their home team. australia did not have that advantage. they lacked the support that argentina enjoyed in this game. believe me scientifically emotionally psychologically it has an impact on the players and the result of the game. everyone knows this in watching other games like baseball and boxing. usually the team that plays at home does better. but here Argentina somehow managed to fill up the entire stadium. hence, you have to give credit to Australia for putting up a fine performance in this game. Argentina of course is a tough competitor, and, probably a champion to be again in these Fifa World Cup games. Just that the spectators fans ought to be well balanced in order to give fairness to each team. Messi's first goal was a killer. he merely touches the bal and bum! it is over. he scores and he comes from out of nowhere, and that is the beauty of his plays. certainly Messi is probably one of the best players ever who belongs in the hall of fame next to the champions like Pele and Maradona and others. Without him, this Argentina team just wouldn't be as strong. Observe that he consistently makes moves and passes and goals in this 2022 FIFA WORLD CUP. ok folks that's all, thanks!

  3. Argentina vs Netherlands is the match to watch! I am in favor of Argentina, somehow they have played very well. Netherlands is always a tough team, but this Argentina team i think is going to win. I am wrong, then so be it. Of course everyone has already made up their minds on which team they think will win. but in soccer everything is possible. personally i dislike the idea of 2 45 minutes periods. it is awful and not sufficient time and space within which to play a real soccer game. ok thanks

  7. Scaloni must be on a different level of bias to be playing papu Gomez who contributed ntn in attack and have players on the bench like dybala and other who are more attacking minded… Papu doesn't take on defenders he don't put in crosses he just turn back the ball deep and reset the plays …

  14. Australia fan here. I am nothing but proud by what australia have done this world cup. To even make it to the world cup is good but to make it in to the round of 16 and even trouble argentina was amazing. But well done argentina i hope you can win it!
