Mario Kart 8 deluxe, after 5 years of being the Nintendo switch’s best selling game, is finally getting DLC in the form of the booster course pass. This is going to be bringing 48 retro tracks to mario kart deluxe from super mario kart, mario kart 64, mario kart super circuit, mario kart double dash, mario kart DS, mario kart wii, mario kart 7, and mario kart tour! The fourth wave of the dlc dropped a few days ago containing two cups, the Fruit cup and Boomerang cup. That brought over a total of 8 tracks, Amsterdam Drift, Riverside Park, DK Summit, Yoshi’s Island, Bangkok Rush, Mario Circuit DS, Waluigi Stadium, and Singapore Speedway. In today’s episode of level by level we’re going to take a look at all 8 of these tracks to see if they’re good or bad retro tracks and put them in a tier list! Oh and there are now going to be new characters like Birdo, neat!

  1. To all of you Mario Circuit DS fans,

    While I still may not be a huge fan of the track, at least we can all agree it’s a WAY better choice than figure 8 circuit

    Edit: errrrrrrrrm awkward somehow I forgot to put rock rock mountain and Merry mountain on the tier list, just imagine they’re in the exact same spots from last wave……

  2. Was excited to see this video! I absolutely Adore this wave and you actually actually have the same most wanted track as me right now for the BCP , that being Airship Fortress 😀 but hey, who knows… The next cup is the Feather Cup so 👀 you know.. Flying stuff.. Airship Fortress 🤩? Idk maybe I'm on copium, but I hope I'm not 🙂 .
    Fun Fact, you also have the exact same character predictions as I have for the Booster Course Pass, LET'S HOPE WE'RE RIGHT 🤞💜🤞🌟

    (edit) : Oh and I mean the last cup being the Spiny Cup- and I know people are saying we might get like 4 rainbow roads to represent the difficulty to fit the Spiny Blue Shell but I'm sure it will be different, or at least I can very well see them just doing normal tracks, so in the Spiny, Acorn or Feather cup I feel like Airship Fortress, is definitely a viable option here. Like, for feather becuz of flying airship, Spiny becuz of Bowser shell + final levels of the Mario World games + its the final cup (kind of a reach) and Acorn Cup becuz propeller stuff + Mario World Wii Final levels. anyways I 'm grasping at straws here but I just want to find a valid reason to have it so badly 😩💜⭐

  7. I honestly was a bit disappointed playing dk summit again after so long since for me we already had the best version of this in the game in the form of mt. wario which honestly made the track feel
    a bit basic for me. I rly feel like they should have added dk mountain instead to make it feel more distinct also it would have been nice for the theme of the cup to have all lvls be kinda plant or jungle based. Still a fun track though.

I think if they're bringing back "past characters" then diddy, funky, petey, and ROB are gonna be added unless they do that BS move that tour is a past game then pauline will get added, which I hope not I don't want her taking up a spot for a more favored character when she isn't really a past character technically, she's a mobile game exclusive her ass wasn't in any mainline console mario kart games 😂 I would much rather have ROB come back as a special guest character rather than her, she's already in the sports games just leave her there 😂

  14. This wave is what convinced me to purchase Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and the DLC. I played the original MK8 on my Wii U so I never felt ok with buying the same game twice, and the first 2 waves of the DLC felt kinda bland for the most part (also wave 1 looked terrible).

    But here comes Wave 4 with an outstanding selection of courses, more antigravity and underwater segments than before, improved visuals (only the trees look like plastic now) and finally with a new character! If leaks are to be believed, every unique character featured in Tour that is missing from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will be added in the future (with the exception of Peachette and 16 bit DK Jr)! This is incredible news and the game will finally feel complete imo. Sort of like a Mario Kart Ultimate!

  21. I wouldn't put any stake in the roster lining up with the rows too precisely, already Birdie's inclusion betrays this idea with her being next to the Mario bros and the princesses. If she was being lined up in terms of her archetype she'd have been on row two to bookend it with Yoshi. Plus the Mii is no longer at the end of the character select, which if that doesn't show they're just kinda placing things wherever for this Iunno what will lol

  25. the problem (again) eith these tracks is the lack of antigravity segments, i would like to see some upside-down roads, twist and impossible bends…
    Are good track? yes, despite the graphic.
    Are Mario Kart 8 Tracks? So little of them really feel Mario kart 8 tracks…

  27. Theorizing R.O.B. is the last character because he'd be in the non-Mario character row doesn't really hold up imo because there are no more Koopalings to put in the Koopaling row. Nintendo definitely doesn't care if the rows get screwed up. Though I hope I'm wrong and that this comment ages like milk, because it'd be cool getting R.O.B. again.

  28. Mario circuit is just a “fine” track, you want to hate it because of the other tracks from DS are better but you can’t because it’s genuinely been improved from the original version
