  1. Never understood the concept of cherry picking certain numbers to try and make a statement about anything. Certain statements like "Player numbers 90% lower than on release" or "Only a part of the peak viewership watches the game on Twitch" (about any game you can imagine) are meaningless statements.
There is always something going on somewhere that makes people hop between multiple games. Only a few people really only stick to a single game at a time, so they want to check out what's new in the update here and there as Flats mentioned.
There is so many variables and so many things happening that it's impossible to maintain the same number of players/viewers for an extended period.
They'll be super active during a season and a little less off-season, then return on the next cycle and that repeats.
Picking out singular moments in time where numbers shift is factually worthless for statistics if you want to figure out the state of a game.
People also in general look too much onto numbers. "Less than 100k playing right now? Trash game" and similar statements are things you can frequently find when people express their opinion about a game's state.

  2. You gotta understand true gamers don't just play only one game either, it's a never ending cycle of which has the better battlepass rewards/gameplay/friends on ect. It's the que times for me. A small 3 hr session of comp and an hr of it is just que waiting.

  3. I don’t think the battle pass is great. You really aren’t getting a lot for what you paid for after grinding the whole thing, to me personally at least since I’m not new. But I still bought it, why? Because I wanted to play the new hero named Kirko instantly instead of “free playing” it and grinding more than half of the battle pass. I play the game hours a day and even then I got to level 55 with around 35 days left to complete, and that’s with the 20% XP boost! The one time that a season won’t be having a new hero gatekeeped behind a battle pass is the time that I won’t be buying the battle pass, unless something changes that makes think otherwise. It’s like they knew people won’t buy this shit, but they surely will if you put a hero behind it in which I did exactly that🥲.

  4. Personally, I think that the less views are both a good and a bad indicator
Bad cuz, y'know, the game seems to not attract people to watch

But the positive part is – which I personally feel – that watching the games make me hyped so much to play the game, that I just turn of streams and go open up the game and play
I mean, it could be people losing intrest, but also people gaining courage to play the game themselves

  5. I played OW for 3 years, 2016 – 2019. I’ve played in silver to GM. I came back to OW2 and dropped it after October and the disappointment that was the Halloween event. It sucks. I love the world, the lore, and the characters, but the game is stale and it’s the same shit every game. I’m only looking forward to PVE.

  6. I've not really lost interest I still love the game. What keeps me to playing something other then it. #1 the rank system (atleast on xbox) is still completely fucked. And #2 The sheer greed of blizzard.

I'm a new to overwatch player. (Controversial I know but I main bastion and I'm damn good at him in my opinion.) I got enough ranked points to get his golden gun. And they expect me to pay 20 dollars for a legendary skin to flex my gun better and stuff. Yeah no fuck that I can buy a nice meal for 20 bucks.

They need to bring back loot boxes so atleast you can get lucky and get a skin for free. Even if it's not one you wanted. Atleast it's something other then all common new player shit. Know what I mean?

  7. The matchmaking is broken, if you win some games in a raw you get placed against people 1/2 rank higher (like plat vs master) but your teamates are still the same rank as you. I don't know if they made this to help newbies getting some wins and feel better but def makes the game worse for who ever wanna climb.

  8. I went from playing daily after work to the past week I've only played one single match.. I'm just tired of the same team comps every game either sojourn soldier or torb bastion and the same maps over and over .. the map rotation is so dumb tbh I miss the old maps

  9. Also I hate how there's so much less feedback .. waiting for 7 wins to go up or down not have an actual number for rank like idk why it can't have diamond 3 but also tell me if I'm like 3280 or 3220 so I can see how close I am I wish it was after every match adjustments alongside divisions and also post games are so anti climatic without showing top players in the match for hidden stats like widow headset accuracy or bap players saved and stuff

  10. And it takes more than character nerfs to bring them back

Like I agree characters do need nerfs (soujourns) but when you read the upcoming patch notes and it’s just nerfs…. It just isn’t fun at all reading through people getting their power brought down

  11. it saddens me how all these games would settle for being mediocre until no one cares anymore than launching with new refreshing stuff. Apex season is indeed ass, so long as they don’t fulfill the cross progression promise I won’t ever. I was hoping overwatch 2 would fill the void for awhile, and yet the only game that hasn’t failed me is cod (i didn’t play vanguard tho) because they don’t do anything special they’re just consistent and it sucks that it’s the one thing that delivers is just delivering loafs of bread and it’s better than the moldy bread every other bug game has, meanwhile smaller games can produce masterfully made cakes to enjoy that only few people actually care to try.
