  1. "most of their HQ are also RANDOMLY Psykers""

Dude they literally swim though the warp, the place we bend to our wills to use the powers 😂😂

It's more insane that we don't have more Psykers

  2. Played Tyranids a few editions ago, loved them. I play T sons now also. This style of psychic list is crazy. Can not wait to see it on the table, either playing with it or against it!

  3. wait what? How can the malaceptor do 3 psychic tests AND a psychic action afterwards? The psychic action takes the place of one of its psychic tests it can do? If it can do 2 by standard and +1 from some synegy with the army its max as far as i recall still remains 3? In the same way that Thousand sons space marines who can only cast one power cant both use smite AND psychic interrogation at the same time.

Unless im mistaken or misunderstood something?

  4. You know what's nuts, the psychic power witchfire for hydra, each friendly model within 3" of an enemy unit you roll a dice, you roll 3 if have any monsters within 3". For each 5+ it's a mortal wound, so swarming with hydra can be pretty nuts if you cast witchfire which throws out a max of 6 mortal wounds

  5. Maleceptors dont look psycic enough for me with a heavy built body, I think they should have been a giant floating brain

You know like how toxicrines have malenthrope, something like that but brainy

  6. Dunno what happened to my comment so I'll post it again. Hope it wasn't deleted. 🙁
So at 11:07 you explain "you can keep the maleceptor affected by its own synaptic imperative alongside the neurothrope's imperative." So as far as I'm aware you can't "keep them affected" as you can only do this for two turns. For one turn you use one imperative and use hive nexus for the other, and for the next turn you use the other imperative and use hive nexus for the first one. After that you wouldn't be able to have both active because you can't cast Hive Nexus twice and both imperatives would be hard spent, so you'd have to pick either the Maleceptor's imperative or the Neurothrope's with Hive Nexus from then on.
Now, that being said, two turns of this is obviously good, but you'll have to decide which two turns. With the tyrannocyte I'm assuming it's turn 1 & 2, but without it's probably 2 & 3 but what if you lose the Maleceptor before Turn 2? Seems like to get the absolute most mileage out of this you want to do T1 with the tyrannocyte and that makes more sense as the opponent's army is probably not going to be as spread out as they could be in turns 2 & 3, limiting your options for dropping in (if they spread out and zone you out). And of course, at the end of the day, the combo's not just "over" because you couldn't do both imperatives, but again the most effective it can be is only for those two turns, right?
I'd like to know your thoughts on all this! And thanks for the vid, it's SUPER informative and helpful!

  7. Actually, you can prevent anti-psyker armies from shutting you down. Just hold the malceptor, neurothropes, and zoanthropes in the back. And send the powers to the front using synaptic link. Then the actual caster is too far away to use deny the witch.

The only hard counter are units immune to psychic powers like sisters of silence the single Imperial assassin.

  8. Hey @trevi, this doubt arised the other day in a game.

So my opponent argued that with its own imperative active the maleceptor is only able to perform the action and cast only one psychic power (two if one cp is spent). He said that in the rules clarification of the psychic actions GW stated that the psychic actions are considered the same as manifesting a psychic power for all rules purposes, and thus, althought they do not prevent casting pyschic powers they still consume one cast of the pysker.

I stated that the imperative is preaty clear, casting psychic actions does not prevent me from manifesting psychic powers and if that where the case the zoanthropes won't be able to use the imperative (for instance).

    What do you think?

  9. I like how I just watched a video from yall about power creep and complaining and then this excited video about nuking the opponents in a phase most armies have little to no interaction with the opponent hahaha. Literally tau can just pick up units. Lol love ya still

  10. the combination of psychic and claws has always beeen my favorite fro ma fluff perspective, forgoing guns unless forced. I think I can actually pull it off now. Hormagaunts make fantastic tar-pits, humble carnifexes are cheap enough to almost swam, and backed up with frightening brain bugs? Good times.

  11. Malceptor will go down with concentrated fire. Which really shuts down the volume of mortals. But as you mentioned in the video, during that time you are scoring points and have support pieces to make it hard for them to do that. Harpy and Winged Hive Tyrant can pressure early on. Preferably the the former, as you need the WHT for utility in the late game.

  12. FAQ:
PSYCHIC ACTIONS While psychic actions are not psychic powers, they function in much the same way. For all purposes, when a unit attempts a psychic action, this is treated the same as if they were attempting to manifest a psychic power, and it triggers any rules that interact with manifesting a psychic power (e.g. rules that enable you to deny a psychic power can also be used to deny a psychic action). Note that a Psyker can still only attempt to perform one psychic action in their Psychic phase instead of attempting to manifest any other psychic powers. Note, however, that the range of psychic actions is never modified by any such rules.
