  1. Something I wish was better explained is this: are family bonuses even a feature someone who hasn't played long enough to unlock all 3 attributes on their gear can access? Because the text in the game seems to indicate that the family bonus only counts if you have three of the same in that specific item. At first I assumed if I had three of the same on different gear pieces it would count as one set of three… now, I understand that now if you have several three sets across several pieces that now they stack, but that doesn't answer my question: do individual family bonuses activate cross gear or each family bonus only works on that specific piece?

Because I've been playing my character for like a month or two and it's pretty caught up with paragon but I hate mindlessly grinding, I just do my dailies and log off and hitting a rank on my gear where I have 3 traits on any piece feels super far away…

  2. I have all primary attack damage, all attack speed and all elite damage. I have Vithus 2 piece, and Shal baas 4 piece. I have spent only 1k on this game but I can slay players 3 x my resonance. So my attack speed on my legos is 9.5% my primary attack damage is increased 19% from just legos. My elite damage is 31%. I did not include my other modifiers from set items or gems. I straight love my build. Family bonus is a trap. Don't fall for it if you're a DH. Damage is our lifeblood. Stats will beat that family bonus everytime for DH. Just my 2 cents.

  3. If you like swapping classes often then all of them are kind of useless and because of that I rather have attributes that benefit all classes. And one big issue with the game in general is that you want specific gear/paragon/sets/gems for pvp builds and another for pve builds. You could dodge some of it by paying and playing a lot but you will never be able to min/max your pvp or pve builds…

  4. I'm not even wasting my time messing with trying to create a setup for PVP. Let's face it there's really no point it's a literal waste of time. If I'm spending a good amount of time playing a game there's got to be some type of perk or in game benefit to doing the activity unless the game mode is just extremely fun and addictive which let's be honest if we're talking Diablo immortal PVP it's not fun enough for me to be willing to invest my time and on top of that the rewards are a literal joke. Mostly everything I'm doing is going to be focused on PVE, and you made a lot of really good points and I think it's all about just weighing the pros and cons. The saddest thing about this game I feel is that it could be one of the best arpgs ever made but greed, stinginess, and just plain not giving a fuck about the fans who have spent their time and millions of their dollars invested in this game. Blizzard and netease have taken narcissism and greed to a never seen before level! And it's gotten so bad that even the dog shit updates/patches we've had to beg for we have no other choice but to fake a smile and keep it moving because all of us are so used to getting scraps as far as in game content. The standard things in a game that make it cool and enjoyable are the things you either have to pay for or grind your ass off to get little crumbs of something you want in the game that should be free or not so impossible to get. But like I said we're so used getting crap that anything a step up from crap seems like progress but actually it should just be a given. You spend time and money and you grind and you grind and you finally get the item you've been hoping for, if you're extremely lucky and then I hit you that it's taking you months to get this one little item and you haven't even begun to start leveling it up and then you realize what it's going to take to be able to level this thing up so it's even worth a fuck. And after you've managed to stuff that frustration and realization down you're still dealing with other parts of the game that are just ridiculous you managed to collect five wisps after running countless dungeons all to get a s*** set piece that was way worse than the one you have before and this happens over and over. Oh you managed to somehow get lucky as fuck on an elder rift and a good Lego gem dropped ? guess what it really doesn't matter because although this gem will make your character a smidge better than it was before you're going to get your wig peeled back by some whale that didn't spend a quarter of the time you've invested in the game but managed to buy every bundle so even with your new gem that you couldn't wait to get that you thought would make life better it doesn't matter because the whales are going to mop the floor with you regardless. It's just ridiculous that we've had to settle with the little bit of scraps blizzard kicks out because scraps are better than nothing.

  5. Thanks Veild, I really appreciate you doing this. I realize now a tier list isn't really viable because there are really only 2 good stones for pvp.. hope they add more for you too talk about in the future!

  6. I'm right there with you I can't see any family attribute that would overcome the versatility of picking the stats that fit your personal play style, as always love your videos and appreciate all your time and effort.

  7. Hi, I will still use bonus attributes instead of family bonuses for my DH, because cost me around 9k orbs to get all stats to max and in pvp even if i have 2k reso most of the time i still get one shoted by whales, so these bonuses not are so important when are reduced in pvp. I rather keep my 12% attack speed, 24% primary attacks damage and 18% crit dmg for PVE content where is this combination amazing.

  8. I'm main Monk and Barb as a second class so currently running primary attack, skill damage and crit damage + I have 3 beneficial duration for total of 9% ,because I use vithu's pretty much everywhere so I can get 40%+ beneficial (if you have items with beneficial stats). I see a lot of people going for 6x Vengeance ,but honestly I think is better to go for consistency like Veiled said in the video ,because you gonna have more rounded damage and no RNG included anywhere.

  9. You make an interesting argument on that Veiled Shot. Each family has one stat everyone would want on your character, but you can only have one of those in each gear (meaning you can’t have 1-2% all skill damage 3 times in one piece of gear). So lets say I put 1-2% all skill damage, 1-2% primary attack damage, 1-2% attack speed on each of my 6 pieces of gear, I will not have bonus stats, but I would have a consistent 6-12% all skill damage, 6-12% primary attack damage, 6-12% attack speed total from all 6 pieces of gear.

So consistent skill bonuses might trump family bonuses right…. You make a good point Veiled… Maybe I should roll family bonuses off my gear and get the ones I want…. Which would be rather time consuming or expensive to get exact stats I want on all 6 pieces of gear as the example I gave above of skill bonuses I would love to have.

To choose Family Bonus or Stat Bonus as a priority?…. Hmmm…

  10. If you have Chip of Stoned Flesh as a leggo gem, the temor family bonus is really nice to proc just from primary attacks. Don't have to use a cc skill to proc, which is convenient. lol
