No one (ET) will engage with our affairs unless we become a threat to this planet like the nuclear issues. The nuclear do much more dangerous damage than what our eye can see. Let's start to acknowledge our (ET) cosmos family as people, and not this superior being because of their technology.
This coming from the same country with the "bootstraps" mentality. Maybe they're trying to keep America from starting nuclear war because Americans have the self awareness of a fly trying to get out of an open window. They didn't stop you from creating weapons because you have a right to defend yourself. They didn't stop you from advancing your technology because technological advancement is a good thing. And maybe… Just maybe… The reason they didn't stop other countries from gaining access to nuclear technology is because those countries aren't the problem.
