As you can see here on this map of the world, you can find mysterious and
fascinating archeological sites all over the world, from Pompeii, an ancient
Roman city that once stood southeast of Naples in what is now Campania,
Italy, to Machu Picchu, a lost city in western South America, all the way to
ancient sites in Egypt, which connects northeastern Africa and the Middle
East and dates back to the era of the pharaohs.
Explorers and archaeologists have been traveling across different countries
bearing evidence of their enigmatic journeys that are either mind-boggling or
just downright impressive.
These archaeological finds reveal secrets and challenge our ideas about
human history. What significant discoveries have been made over the past
years? And which ones have had the greatest influence on how scientists
perceive humanity?
Join us as we examine some of the most fascinating archaeological
discoveries made by scientists!
Helmets constructed from the skulls of children
A burial practice that could even make Indiana Jones shudder has been
documented by archaeologists excavating a site near Salango, Ecuador.
Excavations at the two 2,100-year-old funeral mounds turned up numerous
unique pairs of remains, including the skeletons of two infants wearing what
appear to be bone “helmets” constructed from the skulls of older kids.
While performing excavations, archaeologists discovered the bones as well
as those of nine additional people, many of whom were interred with minor
artifacts like figurines and shells.
According to the archaeologists, one of the infants was roughly 18 months
old, while the other was between 6 and 9 months old at the time of their

  1. The whole thing about the Easter Island statues has been solved. They’ve been able to recreate the statues and the methods of moving them with technology they had available at the time. As for where they came from. That’s literally a mystery for almost every island peoples in the ocean.

  3. It sure is contradictory that many find outrage in how they killed children back then in the name of "religion" when our society celebrates the death of children through abortion to the tune of 51M in the US alone since Roe v Wade. We do it in the name of a secular religion called "choice" masquerading as extreme cases like rape or incest when the majority of them are really based on the whim of not wanting to be pregnant, the "inconvenience" of children, the lack of responsibility of the couple, the desire to have the feelings of being sexually active inherent in our culture. Future cultures will look back in horror at our callousness toward abortion, based on our sensual concerns in the same way we look back in horror at the atrocities mentioned in this video. They will look at our failing at not protecting life in the same way we look at these people for mistreating theirs. The truth is our society is very prideful and arrogant somehow thinking we have moral superiority to these people, we just have different gods that we bow and give heed to.
