  1. The tutorial is outdated with 3.3 isnt it? I tried the approach three times in a new file to no avail. Drop Shadows dont seem to be working like they used to before.

  2. I'm using Blender 3.3. I have made every step until 4:18. However, the interpolated children hair does not appear in my particle edit screen as it does in yours. Though I can still see the children hair outside Particle Edit Mode. Could it be some configuration problem or is because it is a new version of blender?

    Fantastic tutorial anyway!

  3. The best styled hair i have ever seen. I have to ask what method do you use to place them on the character's head?
placing them manually one by one is an incredible waste of time, do you know a faster method to place them equally on the scalp?
will you ever make a video about it? thank you.

  4. Hello! An amazing tutoriaal, just the thing I've been looking for. I had a question about scaling, can the hair strands be scaled to be smaller so that they retain their shape, because if I scale in object mode and the try to reset the scale to 1 with CTRL A, the strands shape stretches weirdly to just be as long as before but now really narrow so do I need to just make my character super big to be in scale with the hair strands? Thank you so much for help if you manage to see this/if anyone in the comments knows how to fix this! Thanks bunch 🙂

  5. My biggest problem right now is understanding how to arrange the hair. I did one full head and then realized I didn't have a good way to cover the part in the middle where the hair comes from, and since they're each originating from a plane and each is its own object, you have to go out of particle edit to object mode, select another, get back to particle edit, etc. etc. and moving the origin back is trickier than just extending the length… Anyone have any suggestions for this?

  6. Awesome tutorial. How did you animate the hair of the character? Did you rigged or used deformers or how did you do that cool hair animation. That looks so amazing so natural? Tell me please!

  8. If i want to make a head full of hair do i need to make 100's of planes? Because I have my base hair shape but adding a single particle makes the entire head sproud hair (even if i just have 1 particle, adding several particles is somewhat fixing it but REALLY hard to do what i want it to do), anyone found a workaround this? Otherwise i have to make lots of planes with 1 particle on them…

  9. Quick question… how do you anchor the root of the hair to the character's head so it follow's the character's movements and bounces naturally as the character moves?
