  2. Personally, I’m struggling with how the show frames his actions post-Arcane anomaly. His behavior feels less like the morally gray scientist we once rooted for and more like a villain disconnected from his original values. The lack of clarity on his motivations—whether they stem from trauma, guilt, or a vision of Hextech’s future—makes it hard to sympathize with him right now.

Instead of a redemption arc, his choices seem to deepen the divide between Piltover and Zaun, which is so frustrating. I’d love to hear your thoughts: do you see his arc as redeemable at this point, or are we meant to see him as lost to his own hubris? This episode left me with so many questions!

  3. The Start of Season 2 Act 3: The Conclusion, we’re finally catching up with our HexGate Trio and things are getting trippy in a hurry already, way more than i initially expected,
I wonder how things went for this Alternate Timeline afterwards? I wonder if we’ll ever see it again?
‘Cause would really like to know a little more about the exact specifics of what lead into this Timeline going in such a different direction.
Also, what happened to Heimerdinger exactly?

  4. I like how this episode felt kind of like a bottle episode it took to out of the story a bit but was still apart of the story and told a beautiful story between the love that could of been between Ekko and powder

  5. The entirety of this episode was just to show us that Heimerdinger was right and had Jayce never created the Hextech life would've been just a bit better for everyone (silco still needed to be talked down by I feel like it would've been possible).

  6. A cool detail I didn't ser anyone talking about is the fact that powder had more hextech gem fragments, but didn't use them because she realized ekko was not from that timeline and wanted to spend more time with him. At least, this is how I interpreted the scene where she puts the pendant in the drawer.

  7. I have a theory why Jayce didn't join the other two. His alt self in that universe is already since he lost the hextech, was kicked out AND his research lead to the death of a child, so Viktor never stopped him

  8. I assume in the timeline where Vi died, Jayce (and possibly Cait) died too because they were both near the explosion at Jayce’s apartment. Jayce nearly died that day anyway so he probably just got thrown a little harder

  9. Love how the English translation to the title of the French song Ekko & Powder were dancing to is called "My Dearest Enemy"

Also super cool how they were dancing at 4 frames per second in that scene – the exact amount of time his Z-drive can rewind,. This show is perfect.

  10. I don't know if it's because I have a bias toward Ella Purnell and it could be my mind playing tricks on me but I can hear the subtle differences in the way she voices Jinx, Powder (in this ep), and Lucy in Fallout using a non-regional American accent.

  11. You can also tell heimerdinger changed a lot during his stay in that timeline where he improved a lot of lives and where he quotes those lines

“How can I forsake another brilliant mind in need again”(referring to Jayce)

“Whats the point of the device like this if you don’t enjoy the time you have”(referring to Victor)

  12. the first scene as the alt ekko is taking notes you can see his doodle on his notebook, pow pow with a heart, they were already together. also why later on our ekko asked powder to pretend its the first time

  13. Jayce in the alternate universe offed himself. He almost did it just from being expelled from the academy, in that timeline his illegal experiment killed a child. Without him Viktor cant invent Hextech by himself.

The cycle of the "main" timeline is broken naturally in that universe. And ironically that is what causes it to be broken in the main timeline aswell, as Ekko brings along an anomaly from a universe that was never supposed to have one.

  14. I have a HORRIBLE and LIKELY theory.

People have been wondering why Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same alternate reality, while Jayce didn't.

    Didn't he thought?

We know that Ekko and Heimedinger ended up in the same reality, but at a DIFFERENT time; the parcimony principe would hence push to the conclusion that Jayce had arrived in the same reality, at a different time; probably in the future.

But then, if Jayce never invented Hextech in said reality, how would the world end like that? Well, Ekko has shown to Powder how she can use the cristals she has kept since she was a child…

  15. @ReelRejects 19:20 Would you say he learned the value of time from his first student Jayce? They had that heated conversation where Jayce stressed the importance for things to get done in somewhat of a timely manner due to the human lifespan. I feel like he has a new perspective on life being thrust out of essentially a royalty position, and having to go about his life in the slums.

  16. Both characters needed to experience the opposite of what they were used to, to become more balanced…
Ekko always living in hardship had to experience a kind of utopia to see how wonderful it was and to open his heart up…
Jayce who basically lived his whole life with a silver spoon in his mouth had to get a taste of dystopia to realize that things can go horribly wrong…
All characters got a little something that was in their blind spot to become more well-rounded overall.
