Hello friends! I hope you had an AMAZING reading month. Today, I’m sharing my April Reading Wrap Up 2023. I got sick for a decent part of the month and actually ended up reading about 10 books more than usual because I couldn’t do much besides watch TV or read. I had a lot of amazing reads, and some strong 5 star reads that I’m excited to share. I also read quite a few newer releases, including, The Writing Retreat by Julia Bartz, Finlay Donovan Knocks ‘Em Dead by Elle Cosimano, and The Club by Ellery Lloyd. I also read some AMAZING cozy mystery series and thrillers – even finding two of my all-time favorite thrillers this favorite month.
What did you read in April? Tell me the highlights of your April Reading Wrap Up! 🙂

What did you read in April? I found two of my favorite thrillers of all time and some great new cozies, which was SO exciting 💙 Also, I do apologize if my voice is still a little hoarse in the video. It's better now, fortunately!
🖐📚🇨🇦
Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier is one of the best thrillers I’ve ever read. I read it years ago now and I still can not recommend enough!
Wow!! You read a ton of books in April. I'm glad you enjoyed most of them. You are making me want to read the Jaine Austin series. I've heard nothing but great things about that series. You read a lot of my favorite series in April (Seaside Cafe, Paws and Claws, Noodle Shop). My favorite reads in April were the ARCs for Death By A Thousand Sips by Gretchen Rue and Stalking Around the Christmas Tree by Jacqueline Frost. I loved them both and definitely recommend them. I started my May reading by re-listening to the Seaside Cafe series and it is just as good the second time. It's been great being on the beach again in Charm. It's making me crave iced tea and lemon cake!
I recently completed the Laura Levine series and Finlay Donovan books. Really enjoyed both.
You had a great reading month – I am sorry it was because you were sick. My favorite for last month was The Lonely Hearts Book Club – so good. My favorite mysteries were a reread of two James Anderson classics, The Affair of the Bloodstained Egg Cozy and The Affair of the Mutilated Mink, and a new one to me, The Affair of the Thirty Nine Cufflinks.
I have to agree with your comments about death by chocolate snickerdoodle. I have tried three times to pick up various books in the series, and each time I put it aside without finishing it because of those very reasons.
The twist in Rock Paper Scissors got me so good! 😆
I just finished Live and Let Chai this morning and absolutely loved it! Already requested book #2 from my library online.
My reading month was similar as I read a LOT. The Writing Retreat's graphic scenes were pretty intense…not my wheelhouse at all so I didn't finish it. Thankfully most of what I read last month was enriching.
Sorry you were sick! Hopefully you're 100% back to your lovely self. 😊
Amazing wrap up!! I have a few of these on my kindle yet I want all of these.. glad your feeling better. ❤
It's no fun being sick. I'm glad you're feeling better! I read a Jaine Austen book, too. I laughed to hard. (It was Death of a Bachelorette… probably on YOUR recommendation!🙂)
I read the nonfiction book called Wild: lost and found on the pacific crest trail. About a female hiker.
Added some oh these to my TBR thank you!
