We get 4% of our energy from Russia it’s utter bullshit. We are paying for the deregulation of 75 companies that went under over the past year and a half and the supplier is a foreign entity it’s a heist stop talking about the war between Russia and Ukraine it’s got fuck all to do with it.

I could understand the frenzy from the frenetic left but was brexit a fact when Truss entered Gov? Was Covid a fact when Truss entered Gov? Was the Ukraine war a fact when Truss entered Gov.
She s also criticised for LibDem Remaining. But that's how 1. She knows the other side of the coin and 2 she rejected their philosophies as not right for Britain.
Just remember that the UK public gave the Tories an 80 seat majority at the last election. In order for that to happen millions of voters decided to elect the very people who not only caused this mess but treat them like the serfs they seem to have become. At the next GE many millions of those same serfs will once again vote for their masters in order to feel superior. The UK is a nation of serfs who are more than happy to be so.

I've always thought that starmers delivery was wooden but truss's is downright fossilised. She made starmer sound like a raconteur. When I hear her talk rainman or a dalek come to mind. She doesn't speak in sentences because every word sounds like a full stop comes immediately afterwards. She has the personality of roadkill. If you thought Boris's lying was a plus to the Labour party her lack of personality can only help starmer seem less bland
But help was eventually given to bill payers when the cap went up to the present level, including this £400. If the cap is going to be set at say £2500, that will be about double it was to start with before the crisis, but it will mean there is no help towards this double price in the future which will not help the poor in the least.
repurpose the canals and rivers, install water power generators for towns and villages all over the country and connect to larger urban areas with large rivers/tidal power/wind

The wealthy Conservatives voted for Liz Truss because they knew that she would look after their interests. They in their large houses will welcome the cap on energy bills which those that can’t pay the existing cost will pay for it in the future. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer this will only change when the poor realise they have the power to change this state of affairs.

I find no one is mentioning the inflationary impact of providing the richest with "cost of living relief" money. Where do we think it is going to go? The challenge we have is a lack of supply and massive demand. Energy wholesalers and wealthy people will just continue to outbid ordinary people on basically any assets actually leading to a spiral. Yet the media wants to make us believe that how the relief is paid for has no effect or that striking workers asking for higher wages are the ones that will cause the biggest problems.
Even using no energy at all won’t get you out of the massive increase in the Standing Charge
Does anybody know if people who use bottled gas can get some help? If not then the many people who live in vans, caravans, cars, lorries, boats, static caravans and motorhomes will miss out. How about some help with the cost of food which goes up every week.

Now see the extreme profits energy suppliers are making plus how many politicians have business interests in these companies. You pay your taxes to allow these people to become ultra wealthy.
